I truthfully wouldn't be suprised if Anders turns out to be the Bi option because despite his humor and charm in DAA he did strike me as a little feminine.I absolutely love him as a character regardless.

Also he has changed quite a bit according to Devs. It could even be what ReallyRue said about Justice. Even if the Devs didn't particularily write him as Bi in DAA it could be one of the changes in him due to the merger of his soul and Justice.

As to what was said earlier, I don't think it was meant that he was possessed by a gay demonic spirit so therefore he is gay; It may have changed his emotions, his feelings toward different things including intimacy and love.  Also, I don't think demonic spirits discriminate...

I suppose it IS arguable that spirits don't really have a particular sense of gender, so maybe it's just not a problem for them.

Not that I'm saying this is what happened, mind. Just throwing in my two cents.

I don't know. I kinda don't care if Anders turns out to be bi LI. To be honest it was a bit of a turn off with Zevran. I didn't find him attractive much and he was shorter than my warden. It didn't happen.



With Anders it doesn't bother me, but I know for some people that might be a turn off. At this point Fenris is the only "non-human" romance option in Bioware games that I'll be all over it and Anders is a given~

I have no problems with Anders being bi. It'll just mean I'll have to FORCE myself to do the Merrill and Isabela romances when I do my M!Hawke playthroughs. I still haven't gotten around to romancing Leliana - all my wardens get distracted by Zevran just.. standing there... being hot... GAH!

More on topic - personally, I'm torn between Anders and Varric as the last LI, but I think Anders would be particularly interesting because of the whole corrupted-Justice-living-in-his-head thing. And his "not when I'm naked I don't" comment to Nathaniel in Awakening makes me wonder about ... certain things. >:3 teehee

Bi romances haven't technically been visually confirmed yet. They showed us pictures of Isabela with male Hawke only. This means we have yet to be confirmed for BOTH female/male bi romances and F!Hawke's straight man LI.



We can assume all we want but that's just how it is.

Right now, I'm not excited about playing M!Hawke... Isabella and ...Merrill (?) are just ... so boring. o_O But I hope it will be different when I play the game. ~_~

@Hypallage I love it! It's gorgeous. And the "not when I'm naked I don't" comment I do believe was tailored specifically to p*ss off Nathaniel, but I agree, I doubt very much that Anders would be overly fussy if fun was involved as to WHO that fun was with.

LOL.  I remember the Alistair/Cheese thing starting before the game ever came out, and I still can't remember seeing him talk about cheese in game, after playing it several times.

I just love cats, and the idea of a magical kitty in my backpack makes me smile.

I would be disappointed if Ser Pounce-a-lot didn't return, but I'd live with the pain.

I know ShepardLives beat me to the "It isn't?!" joke, but seriously... I could picture Anders retiring to that life quite happily.  

I personally would like Pounce to return just to show some continuity from Awakening.  I don't want them to be in-your-face about it with lots of cat-centric dialogue, but it might be nice if, for example, during an Anders cutscene in his house/hospital/whatever, we see a sleeping cat in the background.  It would also be a nice detail to emphasize the whole "Your companions have lives beyond Hawke!" aspect.

I agree that he shouldn't have a huge presence. However, and to be fair, a lot of Anders' conversations in Awakening revolved around Pounce. And then there was the Ser Pounce-a-lot tiger joke in Witch Hunt. While it doesn't define him, it is way more of a Thing than cheese, cookies or shoes were with the Origins' companions.

@Surely I forgot they referenced Ser Pounce in Witch Hunt. That gives me hope he might be around in DA2 or at least, we may have his absence explained. Old Anders wouldn't have left Pounce behind. He was very attached to him!



@Saibh Some people are far more scarily cat-obsessed than Anders was in Awakenings. At least he's only got one!

This is true. I'm being a bit unfair. A lot of his life does revolve around that cat. Still, maybe the teeniest tiniest hint about him, and then back to being grungy and "Grr Circle".

He had more lines about the cat than the rest of them put together about their thing. At least it felt that way.

And that was with a lot less lines in total.
