Berserker is back. That pleases me. It was the only warrior spec I liked in Origins.

So Fenris is probably a Berserker. What about Carver, though? O:

Companions have unique specialisations.

Oh, okay. I forgot about that.

Can we be a duel-wielding warrior? Always preferred that option due to cool moves and high DPS!

Of the 3 specs the only one I ever picked in DA:O was Templar. I wonder, can you choose to not pick a spec? And does it have significant disadvantages if you can and do?

Yes, or at least it was possible in DAO and it's not like the game can really force you to spend the specialization point. You'll miss out on minor bonus and few extra abilities, but on the upside you can spend more points on purchasing/upgrading more of the basic skills.

Hurm. Champion was my favourite spec, Templar (distant) second. Using Reaver and Berserker just now for the first time in my new, rather evil playthrough, don't really like them.

I'll still be playing a warrior first!

Yeah, Champion was my favored. Never liked Templar. Reaver I considered somewhat evil. And Berserker borderline. I liked Champion for evoking something rather noble. Helping his allies.

Two-handed Berserker, yes!

I dislike the other classes on principle, as I'm not fond of the Templars and Reavers are evil-bad.

Champion was my favorite as well. But as many have already said, the Champion talents seem to be covered by the Battlemaster tree, so I'm happy.

Though I was expecting a completely brand new spec, these options please me.

O WTH no champion that was my favorite, now i can either be bad (reaver), annoying (templar) or stupid (berserker)

ok im overreacting but champion was my favorite class! at least should have left guardian or something similar

Battlemaster, one of the general trees, looks like it replaces champion.
"When fighting alongside allies, the warrior becomes a seasoned leader who can rally others to turn the tide of combat." Party buffs and war crys are the Champion spec, and Battlemaster looks similiar.

I wonder if Vanguard is akin to the ME vanguard

Wait... what's this I'm reading in the comments about the removal of the "Dual Wielding" specs from Warriors?!

Please, someone, say this isn't so!

Warmonger and vanguard are general warrior talent trees not specializations .
Reaver, Beserker and Templar are the three specializations

I'm glad Reaver made it back in, that was the most interesting warrior spec in DAO to try and balance and play imo.

in the early vids, there was a cool looking attack called "Charge."

can the devs confirm if this has been renamed to "Scythe?"

if Charge is still in, is it a 2h only attack or can Sword and Shield Warriors do the Charge attack, too?
