Starting out with a mage aswell, i just watched the 10mins of gameplay over at gamestar.de and when the groups mage started opening fire with his staff.....AWSOME..... The darkspawn got pushed back by the torrent of fire from the staff. Also it was the pc version so the graphics looked very crisp compared to the console vids.

But also added new things that seem to be a compromise, so even though it might be gone. Similar fun might still be had .

Itll probably be my last playthrough. I found the mage in DA:O to be the most boring class of them all but hopefully with the combat update itll be better.

After my Two-hander Warrior playthrough I'm definitely going Mage, they look really badass this time around. Definitely more Shaolin Monk-esque.

I'm going hawke/Anders/isabela/varric or Sebastian and possibly Aveline for a warrior type. My Hawke would be either a Mage(with Sebastian or Aveline) or a Warrior(with Varric) leaning towards mage, but it's still too early to tell. Fist of the maker!!!

 I only played DA:O for a few hours but never bought it. I'm planning on getting DA2. 

Will I have to wear a stupid blouse to reach my full mage potential? I may go with rogue.

I don't know. I would have thought they would have put up info on another class by now. But it's still just Warrior.

Warriors were showcased last week... I hope they finally bring up Mage today. I mean the Demo is right around the corner. Why haven't Mage, and Rogue been shown yet?

I will be a Mage, no doubt. But more specifically, I am aiming to be a Fighter/Mage build. I was kinda disappointed in the Arcane Warrior, as they were more defensive than offensive, and I'm hoping we'll be given a proper Red Mage/ Magic Knight / Spellsword spec or build for DAII.



Also, hurry up and give us Mage info Bioware!
