I apologize if this has already been asked, but I scowered the posts and didn't find anything....
I'm playing ME1 as a female Shepard and I got to the Virmire mission. When asked to save someone I didn't actually think the other person was going to die...I mean, I never played ME1 before....I kinda thought maybe we'd go back to get the other. So I saved Ashley since I figured it didn't matter, we'd go back and save the other anyway.
Before the mission I had been wooing Kaidan and did not pursue anything with L'iara (in fact, I turned L'iara down). But now he's dead. Does that mean I won't have a love interest for the rest of the game???? Is it possible to pursue L'iara later even though I turned her down before? Will she try again?
Thanks.
Help...I killed Kaidan

Do you have a save before Virmire? The best thing to do would be reload and save Kaidan so you can continue the romance with him. (And yes, Virmire will always require you to choose Kaidan or Ashley, and the other one will die.)

What missions have you done previous? I'll assume you have done things the way many do, and have already completed Feros and Noveria. In any case, if you've turned Liara down, you've turned her down. I don't believe you can get her back. Assuming you've done Feros and Noveria, you're pretty much at the end of the game. So, no, you won't have a love interest. However, you can still pursue 3 other characters in Mass Effect 2.

Meh, I bet you can still go with Liara. Even when I turn her down, she pops back up. I don't think you can make it to the end without someone coming to your cabin.

yeah, but I chose the option that made me say, basically, "I don't swing that way." So maybe not.
Guess I'll have to play all the way to the end just for curiosity's sake.

I did manage a no-romance playthrough with a FemShep who hardly ever spoke with Liara. My MaleShep was trap-romanced by her though. Apparently, the "I'm not interested in you" option doesn't work, so Shepard either has to choose the "just friends" line or avoid her.Whatever666343431431654324 wrote...

I did a no-romance on my first playthrough.
I didn't even know romance existed, so I never talked to anyone.

Not to be a nerdy nitpicker but it's just Liara, not L'iara

I'd keep playing, living with your choices is part of the Mass Effect experiance. You can always play through again, and the first Shep will have to find love in ME2!

Why settle for Kaidan when you have better LIs in Mass Effect 2? I mean, you get access to Garrus for crying out loud.
