Most people are assuming the F/F will be Isabela since she's already confirmed as a male LI and has already been presented as bisexual.

I'm imagining that Vengeance is the "All work and no play makes Anders far more effective at exacting VENGEANCE!" type, so I think that it's more Anders wants to get busy but Vengeance is all "A TEMPLAR JUST MADE AN APPRENTICE CRY WE HAVE TO GO HELP HER. ALSO, SHE HAS A CAT AND IS PRETTY." and Anders just has to drop whoever he's doing and take care of that business.

But to answer Miri's original question, I am a little concerned about the options for straight Fem!Hawkes. I don't want this to be ME all over again where she's settling for one of two characters that she finds kinda tedious while the one she really wants is busy fiddling with the Mako equivalent. Varric could be awesome, but Fenris kinda scares me and Seb just isn't clicking yet.

And back on topic, it does look like all the romances will have some sort of obstacle - apart from Isabela, unless her lack of committment is the big issue. I wonder if Varric will have the same problem

Yes. With my first playthrough I plan on playing "hard to get" with my chosen LI. Almost to the extent of being ridiculous. My femhawke has a cunning plan you see, she plays "cold and distant" in order to weed out the weaklings who just want to get into her pants (or rather, her robe) and then skidaddle. It's a trial by fire (maybe literally, seeing as she will be a mage!) to see which man is worthy and has an iron will. After she is sure she has found Mr. right, THEN there will be plenty of time for snuggling and kissing. Of course, if my LI plays hard to get as well (I am leaning towards Anders) then that would be ideal. Maybe he will even beat my Hawke at her own game, ha! That would send me into fits and giggles. (yeah.. I'm crazy like that.)

My second femhawke (a rogue) is a lot softer and straightforward when it comes to romance. She looks for earnestness and devotion in her lovers. She's probably going to end up going for Fenris. It might be a rocky road though, considering he seems quite distant. It will definitely be interesting to see how someone supposedly so shy and sensitive will fall in love with an outgoing and friendly girl like Zara (I picture her as a mix between Leliana - she looks quite similar too, she's a red head with pale skin, in fact I'm partly basing her appearance off of sacred ashes trailer Leliana - and Elizabeth Bennet from Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice". She's a little more wild than both though. And she loves music and song. )

My first male Hawke will be named Jarreth (or Jarrod? Haven't decided which yet) and will be quite similar to the default Hawke in appearance. He'll romance Isabela, and while I suspect she won't be hard to "get", the real challenge lies in getting her to love you. I must admit I quite like crimzontearz idea of getting her to be exclusively Hawke's girl. I definitely think that will be a challenge and maybe the most thrilling part of the romance.

Haven't decided how I'm going to approach Merrill yet. And with which character. I'm thinking she might like a big strong man who she can cuddle onto like a teddy bear but is also intelligent.
