 first time, 'll play as a male and it would be nice to have relations with Sebastian. If ot then it will defenitely be Fenris. After that i want to se femHawke and isabella together.

I'm butchering the emo elf the moment I see him. Hopefully I can carry his severed head around. I doubt the game will let me slaughter Varric but I'm sure as hell going to try to hurt him as much as possible. Seb Cousland is completely meh. But I'll probably let him live.



That said, the women aren't much better. So:



1) Merrill - the only one I actually like, even if she looks like some weird bug-eyed monster now. Alas not gonna be romanceable by FemShep.

2) Isabela. I'd really rather not romance a female Zevran but I don't have much choice really. She looks like the only game in town for me.

3) Aveline - Really not interested in romancing an ultra-butch widow, thanks

4) Anders - sans kitty, he's nowhere near as much fun. Emo Anders - Do Not Want.

Anders is my priority followed maybe by Fenris on another playthrough or depending if Anders ends up dumping my Hawke (the audacity...)

Well, several Wardens saw family members die...

but Seb didn't see his family die he was told they were dead I believe. for all we know their still alive also I thought he was a priest not a monk

On my first playthrough: None of them. My character will be celibate and/or asexual. He may enter a platonic relationship with one of them, but that's it. Gender is not an issue, so it could be anyone.

I don't think people should put Isabela and Zevran together in the same category - the devs have repeatedly stated that they're aiming for a different approach to romances this time, and just because they're both shameless flirts, I don't think their romance routes will be anywhere near the same.

For all we know, that "different approach" could just be about the way they've changed the sex cutscenes.

Aveline is no longer an option, which probably means that females are going to have to shorten their list of LIs too.

I'm pretty much nixing Varric from consideration there, though they have yet to out right say he's not. And Sebastian is a DLC character, it's highly unlikely just because of that fact.

Hmmm...if Merrill and Isabela are the only female LIs, that would mean there is no Gaider written female LI in DA2, no? Didn't Mary write Merrill and Sheryl write Isabela?
