a confirmation is someone coming outright and saying something, not the implication of something due to irrelevant information. anyway what about fenris, varric and sebastain?

If there are 2 people in the a room and one is a murderer and one is you, you automatically know you are not the muderer. Thus confirming the other person is the muderer without needing confrimation from him.

It's called elimination. And we know for a fact that the 4 LI are Isabella, Merril, Anders, and Fenris unless they are hiding a extra character.

By process of elimination anyone can see those are four LI. There could be more but we know those are going to be LI for sure. I can't tell if you're trying to be theortical or actually trying to argue that there is a possibility any of the 4 i listed are not LI.

Both. I don't understand how you can say "by the process of elimination" and then turn around and say "there could be more." Shouldn't the process of elimination either get rid of or confirm that "could be"?

And I still don't see how those four are LIs with process of elimination, aside from Isabella who was confirmed. What process are you using? Either way, I don't think you get that what I'm saying is, unless a dev comes right out and says someone is a LI, it's still just fan speculation regardless of how passionately defend it.

1. Because i can deduct from what we know now that the 4 i listed are romances. There could be more than 4 romances but i know there is atleast 4 and they are all included.

2.Elimination. And it's not speculation if you know it is fact. Merril Isabella Anders and Fenris are all Li due to knowing that Aveline is not and we need atleast 2 female LI and there are only 2 Female charaters left other than our sister who is also confirmed to be unromancable. and Fenris and anders are obviously romancable due to needing atleast 2 male romances, due to carver and varric not being one.

Sebastian is the only one im not sure about but i doubt it because it would mean 3 male LI and only 2 Female LI

A "dwarf romance" has been spoken about by the writers before. I wouldn't go so far as to think Anders and Fenris are the only LI, or ARE the LI. Nothing besides Isabella has actually been confirmed.

Yeah, I'm not sure how Varric is eliminated. There's no logic presented. "Because he's a dwarf" is not going to fly when the writers are already open to the idea of writing a dwarf romance. Need to rule him out for other reasons.

1. Fenris; I mean have you seen this guy? The lyrium burned into his skin has made him evern hotter. I'm a sucker for elves, sue me. And we don't know much about him, I'm expecting more mystery to his background. And maybe my FemHawke can help him deal with his past or something, and then force him in bed of course. XD

2. Anders; I never actually played Awakening, but from what I saw when I watched walkthroughs online and read information about him I began to like him. You couldn't romance him back then and hopefully even though he is going to be slightly more mature or whatever I still want my chance at him.

3. Isabela; You know she's great in bed. Enough said.

4. Sebastian; He's not bad looking and that accent. Make him say something sultry and sexy and I will swoon. (Though I doubt he's a love interest, but whatever, there's fanfiction for that.)

5. Merrill; Sweet, girl next door look on the outside, a sex kitten in bed, and dark on the inside. That makes a good combination. Why the hell not?

I enjoy this thread enough that I shall un-lurk for it!

1. Merrill - 'Cause I'm a sucker for pointy ears.
2. Aveline - 'Cause I am also a sucker for warrior chicks. Also, it would probably be reasonably weird, complex romance that would be fun to play.
3. Isabela - I like  Isabela, but for some reason I'm not super-keen on a romance with her.

And that's pretty much that, since both my Dude-Hawke and Lady-Hawke are going to like women.

I have to say that so far Aveline looks like the most intersting female NPC to me. I would be pretty sad if she wasn't romanceable, because my first Hawke will probably stay alone then. But I'll wait and see, I won't pass any final judgement on Isa and Merrill until I really get to know them. '

2. Anders- because he is 2 for the price of 1 (and I want him to heal ME with his magic hands)

Prepare to be sadden.  It has been confirmed that she is not romanceable.

None of the others really spark me. I prefer guys and I'm not really into non-human romances, I could maybe have a fling with Isabella.

i Never said they were the only LI

But by process of Elimination they have to at least be options for LI since they devs have stated DA2 will have atleast as many romances as Origins had, 4.
Aveline is not a romance
Varric is likley not to be but i won't rule it out completley
Sebastian is DLC so he can not be included in the "Atleast 4"
That leaves Fenris Isabella Merril and anders.

So merril Is confirmed because we need atleast 2 Fem LI
 And atleast Fenris or anders are confirmed, And as soon as we find out varric is not a romance they will both be confirmed.

Why can't you guys see how this works? Have you never taken a multiple choice test before?

I'd be very surprised if Varric is not one of the love interests, in part because they've never done a dwarf romance before. If he is, then probably Fenris isn't. There might be a secret companion we don't know about yet, as there was in DA:O, in which case process of elimination doesn't work. Plus, using process of elimination assumes that the romances are all with companions; there have been hints that might not be the case.
