me and my fiance wanted to play together so we both baught the game. i hosted and made her party leader because she reads super fast. the game however excludes me from any party level ups so the whol party is 3 levels higher than me after the tutorial mission. the whole party includes my fiance. i tried to cheat to catch up but it levels everyone so it didnt work. any ideas?
multiplayer is broken for me :(

There are certain races that are extra powerful (Drow, Svirneblin, Duergar, the planetouched races, gray orcs, and yuan-ti) that count as 1-3 levels higher than they actually are. As a result you earn less XP because the challenges are technically less difficult. That would be my first guess.
If you are playing a standard race and you aren't getting party awards like quest completion and that sort of thing... well, that's a problem. I'd use the console to give myself the XP manually (if you can't do it while in game with her, import the character into a new game, give yourself XP, and then export it again)..
