Thankfully, it appears safe to say that Fran Drescher will not be given a role as Fem or Male Hawke in DA2.

After all the paranoia sometimes on the boards, I checked to be sure.

Wait, where was Bartrand's voice confirmed?

I'd be surprised if Steve Blum wasn't doing a dwarf, even if he's a minor character.

It hasn't been confirmed by the devs.  I'm 100% certain that it's Szarabajka though.  Regardless, I should have added a note about that being my personal speculation in the main post.

I speculate that once again, Keith Szarabajka will be voicing every minor male dwarf not voiced by Steve Blum.

Also, what's a Bioware game without Robin Sachs? Hope he's in.

Is there any possibility that Eve Myles is Merrill? She's the only Welsh actress I can think of who'd be specifically requested for a Bioware game ...

I don't know many Welsh actresses.  Given her sci-fi background, I think she's definitely a possibility.

I'd be extremely surprised if he's not in there somewhere.  The man is seriously in everything.

Varric's brother Bartrand, heard in the Anders reveal video, could possibly be Blum. It sounded like him, but I'm not very good at picking out voices.

Same deal with Nolan North, Fred Tatasciore and Yuri Lowenthal. Those four do an insane amount of VO work.

We use both Irish and Welsh accents for the Dalish. Honestly, if we stuck to Welsh only we'd have a really small pool to draw from.

Oh, man. Did you know that I'm a second generation Irish Canadian and Irish accents are my favourite thing ever? You just made my day!

Did you create a noticable schism of what actors to use? Say, Marethari's clan uses Welsh accents, and other elves use Irish?

That makes sense.
There aren't many Welsh VAs with video game VO experience from what I can tell.

Nah. I'm guessing that Meer is just doing ‘Additional Voices’ again.

Here's where the Mark Meer info came from if anyone is curious…

Interview that Meer did for TheGamingLiberty.com (about 3/4 down the page)
“I’ll be doing more recording for Bioware on the new Dragon Age game”

I assume that he was referring to DA2 and not an add-on.

It's probably not her, as she'd be horrifically expensive, but whoever voices Isabela sounds remarkably like Rachel Weisz.

He did indeed, sir! And did an excellent job.

He also voiced the Dalish elf Arthras and all of the Disciples in Awakening, as well as a number of nameless NPCs. (There was one dwarf from the Frostback Mountains in particular who sounded exactly like Commander Shepard.)
