Didn't Meer voice the expirenced Elf Warden?

He did indeed, sir! And did an excellent job.

He also voiced the Dalish elf Arthras and all of the Disciples in Awakening, as well as a number of no-name NPCs.

Meer = Fenris?

Mmmm … probably not. Fenris' voice actor is supposed to be new to the series, or so I heard.

We use both Irish and Welsh accents for the Dalish. Honestly, if we stuck to Welsh only we'd have a really small pool to draw from.

I suspect Simon Templeman and Robin Sachs to voice a character, minor or major.. considering they're Bioware 'regulars'.

I... hope not.

I am Fenris. I am a robot. My voice never changes. Beep.

That's not particulary fair, he has quite a broad range. He voiced the vorcha in ME and one of the werewolves in DA.. plus some other minor characters

Meer also voiced the vorcha and the Biotic god. He does have some variety.
Also, don't forget his most epic work:

You humans are all racist! :D

But OT, I think Keith Ferguson should voice Fenris. The dude is awesome.

You want Bloo to voice Fergus?! :P

(Actually, Marluxia's VO would be pretty good.)

Bloo-Fenris would be awesome (for the amount of fangirls it would make cry alone), but I was actually thinking more along the lines of Basch :P

He didn't just voice Sandal in Origins though.

He didn't just voice Sandal in Origins, though.

While that is painfully obvious, he didn't voice any one of note other than the dwarven savant.

To be honest I'm just happy this wasn't a repeat of Mass Effect 2. A huge chunk of the cast was composed of celebrities from television and film, not voice actors (Yvonne Strahovski, Martin Sheen, Adam Baldwin, etc.). Typically, when it comes to celebrities in games, even the best voice actors in the industry get casted into supporting roles. As a voice actor myself, I am a bit biased, but I am of the belief that you don't hire a chemist to do the job of a rocket scientist. Sure they're both scientists and although with a little help a chemist could do rocket science, the rocket scientist will always be better at it.

Not to mention, most of the time, the only reason a celebrity is hired is to bring attention to a product. Casting celebrities adds a level of prestige to a product, but it takes away jobs from people who voice act for a living and believe me it is hard enough to do that already.

Getting back on topic, all of the names I have seen look good and I look forward to hearing them in action.

Aww, David, can't you at least tell us whether or not Ander's VA returned? Pretty please? You did so with both Merrill and Isabela when they were first anounced. :)

You should watch your back from now on, you've mocked a Biotic God. That never ends well. :)

Anyways, don't think only of Commander Shepard, there are a lot of voices he made for BIoWare, and if you consider all of them as a whole, you realize that he has a wide array of voices. At least I did.

What's up with the Meer hate? He did the Vorcha, Experienced Elf Warden, the unscrupulous merchant in Lothering, the Werevolves and the Disciples.

Some people should realize that he has a bigger range than the "usual hated male Commander Shepard".<_<
