Hope this is in the right section:
Was trying to make something that I thought would be pretty simple..and hopefully fixed by now.
i.e- Creating a skeleton (creature) and equipping it with robes that I could customize...no such luck.

Is it at all possible to somehow either get a skeleton model wearing customizable robes?
Or a human model with a skeleton head?

I'm trying to recreate Elder Arantham...didnt want to say that in case it was giving anything away. but no one will remember by the time i release my mod :)

ps- an even bigger stretch, but hair on a skeleton head would top it off perfectly! but i doubt thats easy or doable. I'm happy to do it without hair

Without custom content, no. I spent some time trying to get a playable Nehwon ghoul and the skeleton models in the game do not allow for clothing and other options.

Try asking in the custom content section. Maybe someone there knows some way to swap heads between models or allow a skeleton to wear clothing.

Use the Death Knight model. It has the PC skeleton and allows for robes/armor to be equipped. You need the Mask of the Betrayer expansion for that model, however.

Thanks Chaos, that worked much better.
I'm happy with the result I have, although I can't seem to remove the death knights helm model. It shows what a different helm looks like in the properties tab, but it doesnt change the helm when the creature is placed down. A shame because the other helm I made looks a lot better. Any idea for a way around this?
Ticking Never show helmet in the properties tab doesn't seem to work for this.
Never show armor though, does work.
thanks again

Except for appearance of the armor itself, the way the model looks when placed down in the Toolset isn't always the way it'll look in-game. If you mess with the boots appearance, for example, you'll see it in the appearance tab but not in your main Area Viewer. It should show up right when you fire up the game itself, though.

I had this same issue when creating hundreds of creature blueprints for a PW, so I know how annoying it can be! Generally speaking, you can trust the appearance tab (though I never did figure out how to rotate that thing).

Thanks master, very helpful and good to know.

If you mean rotate the imgae you see in the appearance tab, hold Ctrl and press right mouse button to swivel around the view.

Thanks again.

Yup, the camera controls in the appearance viewer tab are the same as those used to move the camera around an area in the toolset.

Hmm, yes and no, it seems. I usually use the center mouse button (press down on the wheel) to rotate the view in the Area Viewer. Can't use this in the Armor Set tab (I remembered that's its actual name). You have to push the very intuitive combination of NumLock with your right hand, B with your left hand, and F8 with your tongue Ctrl+Right-Click to rotate in that tab. Simpler is better, but what you gonna do. :?

If you're still interested and adding hair to the skeleton head. Hair to Helm

I don't really mean to derail this topic with talk of camera controls (sorry to the OP).

@ MC - I thought you meant the "Preview" tab not the "Armor Set" tab. The camera doesn't move on the Armor tab. Just switch to the Preview tab and you can spin the camera to get a better look at the armor (providing it is equiped on the NPC).
