They told me that about it being thicker after i asked if it were just standard poster, i then asked if they meant like the vorpal blade screen print and they said they'd do a bit of research. Ive bought them anyway lol, so we'll know that way

Sounds like I definitely need a new category, then; I'll just have to say "heavy paper" or something since it's often not specified (I think the Vorpal Blade was 80 lb, though).  I'm glad they're not just printed on regular poster paper!

I'm hardly a huge fan of Dr. Who, but Tom Baker was certainly the best. Some actors just culminate the "it-factor" and he seemed to have it for that role.

His awesomeness is why I figured I could get away with posting it here, even if not strictly relevant. I think that tattered old poster is most likely a lot older than most of the people here!

I tried to resist the Alice prints... only bought one in the end... that's not too bad I suppose...

You're not interested in the hideous stuffed thing? :P

Woah!  I didn't even notice that Image IPB  Somehow, I don't see it fitting in with my current decor...

I'm unsurprisingly relieved to hear that!

Well, one of the new Alice G1988 thingies is sold out already: Fight To Survive must've lasted literally minutes!  I'm not really surprised, aside from the price I think it was the best of the giclées; kind of ambivalent that I dithered too long to get one, I kind of liked it but I couldn't convince myself that it was $85's worth of like--for me, I mean, obviously 30 other people disagreed!  Wonder how long the others will last...

... and there goes another of the Alice prints, this time the Kevin Tong one. I figured that would be one of the first to go on the basis that it was the only one confirmed to be signed by the artist.

Facbook tells me there are 8 signed Alice lithographs available today at 3PM MDT...

Thanks for the heads-up: didn't notice that. I wonder if they mean eight signed lithographs or some unknown number of signed packs... since they describe it as a "pack" it's a bit ambiguous. If there's only eight in total, I doubt I'll be quick enough.

Well they have eight new lithographs up there now, 500 each, but just signed by the artist; a pack of all eight is going to be very expensive, though: so even if there's only a handful also signed by American McGee, I'm not sure how many people will have around $300 to burn on a whim...

And now I need to update the list again. Bugger.

Edit: list updated, except for the mysterious American McGee-signed packs.  Slightly premature, they should be for sale in 15 minutes (I think).

I can't decide, but I think I'll pass on this lot. That's what I should do anyway!

So should I.  I'm kind of wondering what to do since I've found I have £200 more than I thought in my account.  At least Namira doesn't have that dilemma since she's swanning around in foreign parts!

Edit: I should note that the £200 should really go towards paying off last month's credit card bill.  I should also note that I'm an idiot.

Ah yes... credit card bills... I think I have one of those too... Image IPB
Though it's always nice to find more money than you expected in your account.  Unfortunately that will definately not be the case  for me - I just spent £200+ on Fringe tickets Image IPB  So yes, I'm afraid I'm going to have to pass!

Well there's worse things to spend money on than Fringe tickets!  I suppose my rationale is that, since I rarely go out, I may as well buy posters and games tat instead...

I figured I'd end up buying most as individual lithographs anyway so I caved, but £200 all in one go, especially after just spending £100 on the Team and Archangel lithos has stung quite a lot.  In time I'll be glad I made the plunge, but in the meantime I'm having quite the case of buyers' remorse.  Argh.

And Treehouse has taken away another $125 from me  :P

The $280 was a bit much, but well done Vometia!  Pleased you plunged and took all eight!!

Its easy for me to tally actually because it all been via Treehouse.   Whether I want to tally it is another matter... :P

The thing that get me is the international shipping.  Its unavoidable but at $13 a go it really is mounting up.  I spent well over $100 on shipping costs alone.

okay, they added the mini vorpal blade.. i'll chuck that in and it might make me feel better lol.

They restocked the Alice costume if anyone's interested :P and the art book i notice... hmmm....#

edit: seems they restocked some of the 1988 prints, such as the Kevin Tong Griffon pic, which is nice, but 60 dollars and a big basta**

Umm... sorry if you've talked about this already but I was wondering if any of you have found a good portfolio that fits at least the 18x24 size. What I have found reminds me of the cheap plastic sleeves that I used ages ago. The art or text prints I put in them had gotten stuck to the sides and ultimately were destroyed buy it.

I did!!  Could resist it!   :P  I was gutted I missed it in the first place because it looks amazing. Icing is there only 2 editions of 30 of them!  (not sure what it means, but theres 60 in total so limited!!)

Problem was by doing that I've have now had to ask them to cancel a couple of other pre-orders because its getting crazy!!  Decided to axe the alice mini's and the mysterious east.   I have hundreds of dollars waiting to be taken out right now...  Dont look forward to that credit card statement! hehe
