Just give adepts a biotic power that penetrates shields and they will be unstoppable.

Because that's not possible on Normal.
Why ruin the game for others just because some people apparently think they have to be godlike on Insanity.

actually id like to be more adeptlike on insanity. thatd be a nice start. well get to godlike later.

No, but if they give adepts atleast one shield piercing biotics then some people will not have to play on normal/veteran if they feel that they not have the patience or whatsoever reason to not play on insanity which some people obviously have trouble with and still have it more challenging than normal. (it can be a bonus power for example and not something that adepts have from the beginning).

I still advocate chargeable powers, although this will require the use of hotkeys; so understandably there would be limitations on a controller compared to keyboard and mouse. Even so, you can still select 3 powers, so not really much of a disadvantage.
Hold key to charge (few seconds) -> blue glow around shepard -> release for greater damage/duration/AOE... Severe cooldown penalty (double or whatever).
Of course this means things like wide/heavy singularity would need changing (well the difference never made sense in the first place) - instead have the option of insta-cast or projectile or something, and charge it up to make it more powerful.
Personally I feel that is simpler than creating another ability.

I like the idea of chargable powers. I would like it to be Uncharged = quick cast, low cooldown, slow moving but "bendable" around corners.
Charged = Slow cast (extended casting animation, meaning less time behind cover), looong cooldown, if not bendable then instant hit, if bendable then fast moving with a wider possible arc to a target.
If  charge could be activated from the powerwheel then the lack of hotkeys wouldn't really be a problem for us consoleplayers. It would also be good for those who like using that pause to choose targets.

At the same time I like the focus ability too, and I've always felt that some variant of that should have been Jack's bonus power.

Stasis??!!??!!

Adepts are fine at higher levels, some poeple just want the gods of biotics back from ME1, and are NOT trying to figure out how to play them in ME2.  They can kill fast on Insanity, maybe not as fast as Veteran but they can still kill fast once they get the biotic upgrades to cooldowns and strenght.  To think they aren't effective is wrong, and NO they don't have to shoot, it just makes it faster to mix shooting and powers.  Go Utube Adept play and you will see many poeple using the Adept to rule insanity with a blend of guns and powers, often clearing boards faster than other classes.

That sounds a lot like Overpower.

Props to the TC, Bioware used your idea.
