Repetative, generic and bland is the words I'd use to describe it. I've played every BioWare game and no soundtrack was as bad as Origins'LiquidGrape wrote...

That reminds me of how I wish the battle music and ambient music had separate volume sliders. Some of the ambient music is really great, but it takes listening to it on youtube to appreciate it because in-game I have the volume too low to hear it in all of its subtlety, because otherwise the battle music would savage my eardrums.

Nice, but kinda, I don't know... not epic enough?
Yeah i guess so:mellow: The only music from Zur I actually liked was the soundtrack for Icewind Dale. In DA his composing jumped the shark so to say.

Sounds a lot like DA:O Main Theme but a lot calmer version. It's really good but doesn't give me an epic vibe like DA:O Theme did.
It's called subtlety, my friend. It's less about massive battles and more about a single person's life.

Although I have to admit, I'm more eager to hear Hawke's theme, the one that keeps getting remixed for the trailers :3 I'm crossing my fingers for previews to pop up on amazon eventually... hopefully?

Oh well. I tried. Get back to me when you've listened to some Prokofiev and gained some perspective.
P.S
By no means am I saying Origins' score is on par with Prokofiev's work. But eh, it's in the classical tradition. And I think Origins had some fine melodical moments.

Holy heck...that is AMAZING. It is definately more haunting, which is something i love. and to me, it is just as epic as DA:O's. A song doesnt need to be powerful and booming to be so, as long as it still gives me shivers.I'm probably going to be listening to this allllll day. And tomorrow. And... well.
This! Wholeheartedly this!

What happened to the choral music in the trailers though? Will that be on the soundtrack? Please? Haha

But in all seriousness, it's a nice piece that sets the tone without being all bombastic like other trailers.
