Once again, he creates theme music that has awesome build but lacks in resolve, only endless labyrinths of continuous chordal progressions that simply won't allow for immersion in the beauty it continually suggests but never satisfies.
I have a feeling he's simply afraid to write the "predictable".  Sometimes satisfying musical anticipation (within the piece) can be the most beautiful parts of a composition.

Edit: as far as the Destiny trailer is concerned, that sounded much better for me. Though short, it was powerful and made a complete melodic statement.

I agree with this, I was sort of waiting the whole time for it to get 'there' but it never came. Very disapointing.

Wow. Harry's come a long way since his Saturday Morning Watchmen video. I was not too impressed with Skyrim's track even before this parody, though.

I like it ok, but I prefer the couple of snippets we've heard of Hawke's theme. This new theme does IMO recycle a few too many elements from DA:O's theme. One or two persistent leitmotifs for the series is fine, though.

To be honest, I felt some parts of theme are rehashed from the DAO theme. It's pretty calm and nice but certainly isn't all that original, especially not in the Fantasy Genre, I've heard better...and I've heard worse.

Meh. I liked the theme from DAO a lot better.

Hopefully the rest of the soundtrack is up to snuff - and maybe Aubrey Ashburn can lend her voice once again?

I need to hear more tracks to fairly judge the overall quality of the sound track, but if this is supposed to be the main theme, then it doesn't bode well for the rest of the music.

I like it. it suits the more darker and mysterious setting of DA2.

It's beautiful. It's like you can hear Hawke's journey from Lothering to Champion in the music.
