You don't seem to like anything DA2 related. But you should deal with it.Atakuma wrote...

You complaining? There's a shock!Atakuma wrote...
That was dull, I hope the rest of the music is better.

It's slow, moody, and atmospheric. What else do you want from music for a title screen?

Aparrently some people think music needs to be blaring and sweeping as much as it possibly can to be good. Otherwise it's "dull".

Opinions, my friend. We can't all agree on everything - that'll be extremely dull.

It's beautiful. It's like you can hear Hawke's journey from Lothering to Champion in the music.
Now that you mention it, it does.
I really liked it. I especially liked the different resonance the vocalist is going at. Plus, it sounded like actual instrumentation, which is always a plus.

Edit: It helps to listen to it with a decent pair of headphones. My PC speakers were not doing it justice.

However, I have the same complaint I had with some of the Origins themes... those damn heavy brass instruments. First at 0:45 to 0:52 and then from 1:44 to 1:52. It completely breaks the song into different sections, and not in a good way. I'd rather have a smooth transition. Now when listening to the theme I kind of jump out of my skin every time I hear those heavy brass instruments. Other than those few seconds though, the theme really pushes the right notes for me. Can't wait to hear some more.

I'm not sure what to make of it yet, so I'll have to listen to it a few more times.
But its interesting nonetheless

Eh, no, that's not it, at least, not for me. I like this menu theme just fine, which obviously isn't bombastic in the least. The DA2 theme I find dull because... I don't know, it just doesn't feel very original or memorable or inspiring. It's like Inon Zur doesn't want to take any risks with the melody, he just wants to play it safe and build on it using tried and true orchestral "tropes" (for lack of a better word-- my knowledge of musical terminology is limited) and the same themes as DAO, resulting in a very generic and unoriginal feeling.
