Can you take direct control of one character to hack n slash like an Action/Rpg on the PC version?
or it is just for the console?

If you want to yes but I would suggest the lower difficulties for it.

Lower the difficulty to casual/easy and you should have np.

I'm not confident the PC version has the click-to-attack mechanic in it, actually.

I will be playing nightmare with no pausing allowed. Its amazing how powerful that character command script is. The simple script: If health is less than 60 than drink health potion made dragon age origins trivial at all difficulty levels. I am hoping potions are far less common, and far less overpowered in dragon age 2.

If you mean control only one character without pausing, yes (on causal and normal, more difficult in hard or nightmare). Howewer PC version has only auto-attack I think

PC doesn't have one-click-one-attack, no. PC uses the auto-attack as seen in Origins. We've added the "R" button binding to automatically attack the nearest target or interact with the nearest placeable.

I'm probably in minority here, but I'd really like to have the one-click-one-attack option. Would it be easy to mod that in if we get the toolset ?

Ooh I like that binding. (Though I'd probably remap it to "E" if possible)

So no click-attack on PC... but there's still auto-attack on consoles, right?

I think read something from one of the devs last week that said originally there wasn't but they were convinced to add it to the console version as an option you turn on.

Yep, there were going to only have auto-attack via the radial menu, but now it's a toggle in the options menu.
