Why not let the crew romance each other? Certain chat options like turning down an encounter will lead to that person having a romance with someone else. We have seen that Yeoman Kelly is interested in Garrus, and maybe Miranda and Jacob get together if you romance Tali instead. Joker and EDI might have some cyber too, you never know.

Actually, that's a pretty good idea. I like it. Whether the Development team even has time to add that in though, is completely unknown.

I wouldn't mind that all. One of the things that bugged me is that you didn't see the crew interact with each other outside of the debriefs and the big post-loyalty tension standoffs. I want my crew to seem like a crew, with thane checking with chakwas and having build up for those either me or him moments. if the romances are part and parcel of that then it would be great for the immersion.

Hmmm, not sure, that b*tch Kasumi was after Jacob whilst I was romancing him ¬_¬

I only romanced him once, just recently and that was only because of the comic allowing me to sidestep the puppy eyes in Mass Effect. And Kasumi kept telling me we had broken up, it made me paranoid............ lol

Seriously though, I have felt for a long time that it would increase the immersion and there are potential couples all over that ship - Ken and Gabby spring to mind, also if you didn't choose Miranda or Jacob they could get back together, I think she still holds a torch for him, that is why she supplied the info about his dad.

Teammate interaction is one of the things I'm most excited about seeing in DA2, and I think ME3 would benefit from it as well. I would have loved more interaction between Tali and Legion, or Lucy Miranda and Charlie Brown Jacob, or any interaction at all between Mordin and Grunt.

They need to make crewmates walk around, too.

They eventually have to do something other than stare at the core(Thane) or calibrations. That's also a great idea.

I actually picked up this idea from a poster in an older thread. So I'd rather not take credit for it, but it would really liven up the Normandy ( & hub worlds if you consider NPC's).

Well just more natural interactions all around. I mean this isn't a college dorm, not everyone needs to hook up, and while it's not possible to program every iteration (or maybe even a lot of freedom, Fallout 3 had a lot of weird things happen as a result of characters having "lives" when you weren't around).

I mean playing ME2 again, I'm at Horizon, and I got blown off by Ashley for being basically a traitor working with Cerberus. I can understand why, ALL my responses seemed tailored to ****** someone off who was already angry even the nominally "paragon" choices (ie the top ones). Just seemed weird all my previous comments about the arrangement (like to Garrus about NOT being Cerberus or not trusting them, etc) were ignored and I was basically calling Ashley out for being a tool of an ineffectual or uncaring government. I mean why not mention, "Hey you may not like who I work with, I know I don't, but we not only figured out a nominal defense against the Collector swarm, we also have some survivors AND we have incontrovertible proof who's behind this." Literally better than ANYONE else has managed in the years this has been going on, I did in a couple weeks at most.

So basically it's Shepard being Shepard and saving the day despite all the evidence. "Why not trust me?"

Sure, that STILL might not have been enough for her, but the convo was definitely scripted on rails and I was never going to be allowed to debate the point well. Admittedly I had just gone through a whole bunch of combat so maybe I'm not the most eloquent chap, but come on, maybe simply not having her talk to me at all would have been better, it's not like two ALIENS like Garrus and Tali didn't have their problems, but they came around pretty easily as Shep's life goes anyways.

I know the real world reason, but it just annoyed me that I wasn't even allowed to debate the point better than what they gave me, maybe the next or next-next level of RPG's.

Still a great game, and I DO want the crew to be more than largely animated furniture.

Come to think of it, Zaeed and Chakwas are the same age, and Chakwas said in ME1 that she loves patching up soldiers with kind eyes and sensitive souls. Sort of like Zaeed, theres more to him than a careless shoot-em-up attitude. Or there should be.

I also had an idea that if you brought your love interest or a couple from your team, you and your LI or the couple would get defensive and offensive bonuses.

I don't know how many people here have played Star Ocean Til The End Of Time, but there is not really romance, more affinity that is raised through something called Private Actions (little cutscenes you can find that will raise or lower someone's opinion of you) and there was a pretty neat bonus that if a character is knocked unconscious that someone else in the party has a high affinity with, they will fight more agressively (you can sometimes hear them say things like ''You'll pay for that'') I always thought that would add a depth to the game. Say Shepard is low on health the LI's stats would boost and they would aim for whatever is the main threat to Shep or something....
Imagine - *insert your LI here* Running headlong into a scion shouting ''I'll kill you for that, you b***ard'',
I know they won't do it, but it happens in my head and it is lovely............ :D;)

Yeah, they probably wont have time. But little things do matter in games like these.

I like this idea. There's hints of what you're after in DA2... maybe ME3 will take it to the next step.

Garrus: Shepard. I got hit. I'm dying

Shepard: No, stay with me Garrus!

Garrus: Shepard. Tell Tali that I finished the calibrations

I'd like to see more sibling or parent-child relationships develop with the crew. Joker and the Doctor would be the most obvious since she said that taking care of Joker was so important to her yet we never see them interact. Thane and Samara could argue over the differences between his religion and her Code. Jacob could jump or yelp whenever Kasumi cops a feel (in LotSB we discover that she likes to turn invisible and check him out while he's working out with no shirt). You could walk in on Grunt and Jack doing something that will forever keep you up at night. You could catch Tali and/or Legion spying on each other. And maybe Jack and Miranda can finally have that death match where you're forced to choose like you did with Samara and Morinth.

Or you could walk in on Garrus forever "calibrating" with that issue of Formax you bought on Omega.

Not sure about this, in one way it would cool if they did it with just ONE pair of team-mates, ME already feels like a dating sim at times. I'd prefer it if some of the team had a relationship with someone OUTSIDE of your crew. That way, if you tried to persue a romance with them, they'd have to choose between you and them and then there's repercussions to be had from that decision. I actually kind of liked how things happened with Samarra - I really did want to have her as my LI but no matter what I tried, it wasn't going to happen. Sure I was disappointed but I was pleased with Bioware for having her stick to her guns and not just fall on her back for Shep like most of the others seem to do.

I agree that the crew shouldn't be automatically wide-open for Shep (no pun intended), and it does make me mad sometimes when I'm talking to a crew member and they suddenly get angry at me because they think I'm cheating on them or playing them when all I was doing was trying to have a conversation and NOT trying to do the wild thing. This was REALLY a problem for me in Dragon Age.

It still makes me laugh out loud when I'm playing the first ME and Ashley's and Kaiden's faces light up with horny expectation just because you thanked them for saving you on Eden Prime, or Liara's groove thing kicking in when you challenge the Krogan mercenary at the dig site.

I'm disappointed that ME doesn't have more gay options, but in a way it's good because I could see your ship suddenly being full of promiscuous bisexuals on the prowl. Not that that is a bad thing, but like you said, this is an action game, not a dating sim.
