You have to pass a coercion check and not be in a romance with a non hardened character, and if I remember correctly, you have to beat her at cards to get to that dialogue. "Sleep with anyone" might be stretching it a bit.JasonPogo wrote...
Isabela was a pirate that would teach you how to fight with two swords and sleep with anything. If she suddenly has more morals about sex well then she is not the same character.
I'm not sure how you've gotten that from her brief appearance, but blood-magic-using-pariah seems decided off the book to me.JasonPogo wrote...
And Merril is a stuffy Dalish Elf that is by the book of how her people do things. Is she is not then they have changed her allot.

I am beyond disappoint.
Agreed. I'd rather have my man Hawke romance Varric than Merrill or Isabela. That's how bad it is.Xewaka wrote...

Yep. All just to anger you. Just you.
Edit: Your avatar is a lizard, I wouldn't mind a Aveline romance, neither would a lot of other people here.

You bring up an interesting question. Why exactly is getting down a necessity for a romance? I for one wouldn't mind a romance ending with a bitter parting instead of the traditional bow chicka wow wow.My Avatar is a Lizard wrote...

Pretty much this.. I mean I don't have anything against her or anything but... No.. I'd rather romance Isabella than Aveline, and thats saying something.

So, I'm not too concerned about the LI's for DA2. There are probably underlying complexities to each character which will endear them to you if you bother to try. I'm also still holding out on the rumor that you can romance non-companions as well so there might be some undiscovered gems out there. If not then I'm still good with Fenris and Anders (assuming they're LI's...). Hopefully their romance is just as swoon-worthy as Alistair's was for my Warden.

Varric is strictly heterosexual. However, he's also manly to the point where he perceives other males to be somewhat tomboyish girls.Eveangaline wrote...

I can't say for sure if it would have come to that after the game was actually played, but the current stance of the main thread is nothing like that, of that much I can assure you.

That being said, a platonic relationship can be just as rewarding as a romantic one, and romance is not be all end all when it comes to my games.
I'll probably be focusing on Hawke's relationship with his sibling instead.

Tali-like? No, I don't think so. Aveline attracts maturity a lot more readily.
No, Samara-like, that I can agree with.
