Anders has a story to tell in Dragon Age 2 with the mage / templar war.

Apparently I already had a stealth romance with Sigrun, based on the 'Love' rating I had with her.
But I'm happy with either one of them returning. Lets just all be thankful it wasn't Velanna.

They made an interesting choice going with Anders, especially since what has happened to him. Sigrun just seemed dull to me, she doesn't seem like she would have much of a story to tell in this game. And who in the right mind would want to romance a dwarf?

Never liked Sigrun. However this could probably be attributed to the fact that her quest was glitched for the longest time.



Hated the elf girl. Anders was alright. Really liked Nathaniel and Justice the most in Awakenings.

In Awakening, they hinted towards Anders being in DA2. It's not exactly out of no where.

...because Bioware wanted to continue the story of Anders, and they have what sounds like a very interesting concept for him as a companion.

As much as I liked Sigrun, isn't she dead? It's heavily implied in every ending I've had where she wasn't killed that she went to finish her job (dying) in the Deep Roads. Sure she could be alive, but she really was just a more cheerful version of every other Legionary. The writers said they brought back characters that have a story to tell, and Anders' Chantry hate has a huge opportunity in DA2.

I didn't really like Sigrun as a love interest. More of a grown person and formidable warrior who was like a child when it came to seeing the world outside of death in the Deep Roads.



I did find her more interesting that Anders. I would have loved to have seen her return. Her simplistic pleasures at just owning anything were endearing. She grew up in a place where there was nothing but poverty and death. Hence she didn't find the Dead Legion all that big a step up or down, just a different way to die.



Doesn't matter, humans and pretty elves are more popular, I never expected them to bring back another Dwarf after the hiccup, derp, burp, fart joke guy.
