In my ending she was very much alive for several decades following Awakening. Because I had had a knack for finding important and absolutely urgent things to occupy her. She still joked about going off to her death but never actually did.

The party banter in Awakening certainly indicates that something like the Anders/Justice joining might happen. I'm running my human noble rogue (queen!) through Awakening now, so the conversations between Anders/Nathaniel/Justice about Fade spirits, host bodies, and Anders' issues with the Circle, etc. is pretty fresh atm.

And bringing Anders back is the most appropriate out of all the Awakening companions since he is being possessed by a spirit of Justice, kinda like Wynne and her spirit of Faith. Except, you know, Anders' hate for the chantry makes the spirit go nuts.jackkel dragon wrote...

Based on the banter I saw, I would have guessed Nathaniel would have been the more likely host. It really seemed like he was nearly suggesting it at one point.
But I'm really glad it was Anders instead. I found Nathan incredibly dull.

Because your party has 2 potential rogues (Isabela, Varrick) 2 Warriors (Fenris, Avaline) 2 Mages (Merril, ANDERS). Discounting siblings (they act to balance against the PC class) and DLC (They are dlc, so they arent required in the game, so devs cant count on having them balance). So without Anders we only got 1 mage.

That's why it really should be Magic Dwarf Dagna and not Sigrun.
