I know. I just wanted to sound overly defensive.:D

And Morrigan was the only good looking character in Origins to me. Liliana was ugly in-game but pretty in the trailer, Morrigan look some what the same

That's funny, cause I sorta feel the opposite. I thought Morrigan looked great in the trailer, while Liliana looked alright in trailer. In-game I think Morrigan looks too darn skinny, while Liliana looked a little more curvy. (At least in her Chantry outfit. Throw some armor on her and she looks as skinny as all the other non-dwarven women)

How could anyone not like Sigrun? She had personality and was the most energetic member of the Awakening squad. Unfortunately, she made her commitment to the Legion of the Dead, and so she was set on dying young, fighting darkspawn and all. If it was possible, she would defintely have been a LI of my male wardens in Awakening, because she was so likeable.

Since she was busy being a member of the LotD, accompanying the Warden during the events in Awakening, and then returning to the deep roads after, I doubt she would have had time to make a trip to Kirkwall for DA2, though I would have loved to see her return. DA2 has enough rogues as well. Perhaps Sigrun could make an appearance via dlc? It is possible that you'd bump into her in the deep roads.

Anders = Poor Man's Alistair.

But, I'm personally glad they chose to put him in DA2. It gives me something nice to look at.

That is why I couldn't keep in the party for too long. Don't get me wrong I loved that she was very happy and willing to fight till the bitter end but I get annoyed if I'm around overly happy people for too long and I end up wanting to stab them. I felt bad when I had to kill her my first playthough when I sided with the Architect so I reloaded and killed him instead not so much Justice. So now I just don't take her with me when I go after the Mother

I liked Sigrun better than Anders. Yes Anders was funny but Sigrun was also funny but had depth to her. I wish they would bring her back but alas her ending had her going into the deep roads never to be seen again. Such a shame.

I hated Sigrun. Her name is dumb. She is a bimbo with a death wish. She is way too chipper.

I only used her in the one mission to that Thaig for the info she could provide, which wasn't a heck of lot.

I left her at the Keep, hopping she would be killed in the DS invasion.

Game has enough humans in it, did we will need another? I liked Anders, and have no problem with him making the sequel. But did the DLC have to be a human scottish prince? Sigrun should have made it over him.

There's at least two epilogues where Anders have no motivation to fight against the Chantry (much less invite a spirit inside him), one of them having him dead at the height of his glory. There are also Justice epilogues that have the two never meeting, or Justice in Kristoff's body alive for long after Ander's death. He might be the most plausible, but it's still far from 100% canonicity.

Velanna IMHO has a lot more ways to end up in Kirkwall, in search of her sister, and being in coalition with Justice/Vengeance spirit.

Personally I think Shale in Dwarven Form would have been perfect for the DLC. Would create a nice DLC connectivity between games.

It's not just that, but my only true knock on Bioware is that many of their games lack diversity. Most of the cast in their games are 85% human, and of those humans 95% are caucasian. I was hoping that in this game we would see a much more diverse cast, since it's taking place in the Free Marches, which is described as a 'Melting Pot".

Well many of their games they always state that the biggest race is humans so that might be why. And having diffrent human races would be a bit hard to do since people take offence very easily or find the character stupid (Think Jacob from ME2), its safer to just to put the race that people rarely get offened and not have to deal with a stupid useless backlash (Like the transformers 2 movie)

Sigrun's story was effectively "told" in Awakening. There wasn't really much more to do with the character beyond the expansion. Had it been my job to bring her into DA2, I would have been scratching my head as to what to do with her.

The devs obviously felt that Anders had more room for character development, particularly by "partnering" him with Justice.

I really would have preferred to have Sigrun back out of all the Awakening characters. Especially if she was a F/F love interest. But oh well.

Anders was chosen over Sigrun because Anders is male, Sigrun isn't. We already had three female companions not counting Bethany, yet only two male not counting Carver or Sebastien. Thus if the next character to be announced would have to male. As it was there intention to bring a character this limited there options. Now they already confirmed that they weren't doing a qunari companion so no Sten. They also made there selection on who was the most romantically viable. Considering the difficulty it is to do the animations for a dwarf romance scene (not to mention the difficulties the majority would have connecting to a dwarven romance), and the point he's already taken, Oghren is out of the question. Now that leaves us with Alistair, Anders and Justice. Now Alistair is either dead, the King or a drunk so no Alistair. That ultimatelly leaves us with Justice and Anders. Now most people would see romancing Justice in his original host body as plain wrong with the necrophilia and all, and thus due to Varic not likely being romanceable, that leaves Fenris and ???. The original host of Justice not romanceably viable. Thus we have Anders, even if he is posessed by Justice.

I disagree.
Also I thought Jacob was fine, a tad bit boring, but not a guy I would say I hated. Also is it hard to write people of color without using stupid stereotypes. Bay made that mistake in both Transformers movies with Jazz (who was my favorite character in the 80's series, and he was butchered in the movie) and the twin in Transformers 2.

As for most of the cast being human, I never really got why this happens. I know the player relates to humans, and that's fine if you make the lead one. But does the entire cast also have to be human as well? I love fantasy and sci fi for the races, and species we don't get to see a lot of. I for one was hoping for more fantasy races to be introduced in DA2. Maybe centaurs, Gnolls, Minotaurs, Cyclops. Some races that are almost never used in games like this.

Are you honestly suggesting they keep all characters white/predominantly white to avoid people airing their sometimes extremely valid concerns about how different races are portrayed. Do you not understand how ignorant and offensive that is?

Lol I never stated that at all. And I also think that they should put diffrent races of human out there but see Jacob in ME2 I think BioWare is doing it carefuly. They don't want to offend people. But also since DA is more of a midevil theme there wouldn't be much of diffrent races since the midevil theme is based off of European history.

Guys, GUYS! Before you complain about why Sigrun isn't in DA2, maybe you should ask why she SHOULD be in DA2. It's not necessarily about maintaining some convoluted demographic ratio.

Why would Sigrun be in Kirkwall? What would she be doing there? Why would she work with Hawke?

There's no reason for her to be in the sequel. Her story was neatly wrapped up in Awakening. She joins the Grey Wardens, comes to term with her purpose as a member of the Legion of the Dead, and either heads down into the Deep Roads or hangs out on the surface for a while.

There really is nothing more to say with Sigrun. In fact, you'd be doing her a disservice by just randomly plopping her in the middle of the sequel with nothing to do.
