Okay am not a genius about this but

when I try to log into the dragon age servers it won't let me log in

but my user name is still under the logged screen

I am so confused right now, and I have cleared my cache

my DLC's are there but not my points and yes I have the firewall cleared and its saying my profile isn't there as well. I really hope I don't have to reinstall Dragon Age or anything because I don't want to lose my data

There may be some service that is suppose to be running in the Windows background that is not. I suggest you contact EA directly at support.ea.com and see if they have a suggestion. If you haven't already done so, you may also want to look through the first few messages at the top of this forum. Others have encountered similar problems, and the answers may be there.

Are you running a firewall? If so it might be worth turning it off and then seeing if you can connect. If you are able to connect you'll need to set up your firewall to allow DA through.

When I installed DA:O it connected straight away but then, about a week later, refused to connect. The firewall component of Kaspersky internet Security had, for some reason, decided to block it.

Um which program would that be?

I already made sure that dragon age could go through my firewall

The fact that many prior members have experienced what you are running into means it is very likely there are answers right here in the forum's archives.  I avoid anything extra at all in the background when playing games, and avoid games that expect me to maintain a constant internet connection, just as a matter of keeping things simple, so I have never had your problem.

I think that I have read some of the questions, but cannot recall the outcome, sorry.  Use Google with a site: redirector pointed back into these forums, or Yahoo if you prefer it, and do a search here for your subject line.

All 3 programs? Launcher (updates news), DAupdaterservice (authorizes DLC), Game (updates profile). Are the firewall  exception rules set correctly?

Okay... then let's try this. Reboot (let's make sure everything is happy computer wise), then once the system is ready, do a CTRL-ALT-DEL and start the task manager. Select the process tab and leave it open. Then load Dragon Age. When you're on the main menu, ALT-TAB back to the task manager. See if the process daupdatersvc.service.exe is running.

If it's not, we can point you to some older threads that show how to start it manually.

That sounds's right.

Keep looking, but if you finally can't find it, EA support may be able to help... help.dragonage.com or support.ea.com.

Yes. And it appears from your screencaps that you have a version of Windows 7. You may try running the program using the "Run as Administrator" option (right clicking the icon and selecting from the popup menu). You can also set the User Access Controls to "OFF" and see if that helps.

Also... it sounds like you have the original disc versions of the game. Patching to 1.04 might be a good idea.

I think I see what the problem is, my father has two networks and one of them isn't running I may have to see if we need to reboot the routers

But I did everything else including update the patch
