I made a new character as a human noble since Anora wouldnt marry my mage.
Anora agreed to marry me when we met before the Landsmeet, and then again at the ends of the Landsmeet after Alistair killed Loghain and renounced his claim to the throne.
Anora was also the one who came into the room with me and my party to talk about the result of the landsmeet.
Later at some point, a dialogue optinon came up with Alistair to comment on him being the future king.
He also gave the final speech before the march on Denerim at the end of the game.
Then when I import this game into Awakening, guess who comes to meet me on the road?
King Alistair.
WTF!
Then in the epilogue it doesn say I went back to Denerim to rule with the Queen I married.
No mention of Anora at all.
What went wrong?
I married Anora, so why is Alistair king?

What I also didn't mention was that at the final ceremony Anora again called me king and said the boon offer would also be an engagement present.

Had the same problem, int first playthrough I was a human noble who married Anita but had to save loghain to do it, was sad to see allistair go, in awakening Anora greeted me and called me husband and midway through awakening I felt my warden wouldn't give up allistair and reloaded an old origins save and found a way to save and saved allistair and married Anora, problems with no mention of our marriage post coronation and epilogue, and in awakening allistair was king. I continued my first awakening save since Id rather be king.

Meant Anora not Anita, I'm on phone and I guess auto correct changed it, and some other errors in message I can't edit for some reason. Pretty sure its obvious I meant Anora though.
