Hi guys, I'm a few hours into my renegade playthrough, and I just finished Therum (sp?).  While giving my report to the Council, I decided to have some fun and disconnect them.  Pure gold.  I could see my Shep and Joker trying not to laugh about this.  Am I missing out on Renegade points if I keep doing this?  This is turning out to be pretty fun, since I usually play the good guy, and I did play Paragon through the first time.

That IS the renegade option. You get as many points for that as being a paragon and listening to their speeches.

Don't always pick this option first. Sometimes it's more fun to argue with the council, especially the turian, if the option is available.

I like arguing and then becoming impatient, cutting them off after a while. Good stuff ^^

Yeah that's what I did after Noveria. It was priceless accursing the Turian of genocide after he laid into me for wiping out the Rachnai. I can't believe how much fun I'm having with this playthrough. It sort of bugged me as a Paragon it felt that I had to roll over for whoever wanted to have their way with me.



Also, just out of curiosity, is it possible to eventually max out both Paragon and Renegade bars? I understand that this would take a few playthroughs to accomplish.

I tried. Only managed to max Paragon and got 10 Renegade. With that I could still get Saren to kill himself with the Renegade options.

Those are the Charm and Intimidate talents. I think Falross meant the bars that fill up by taking Paragon and Renegade decisions during the game. Those bars are reset when you start a new game+, and thus cannot both be maxed out unless you use exploits or cheats.

What works for me is to play paragon but use intimidate or renegade responses every time I get the chance. I got like 14/16 Paragon full and 11/16 Renegade full. I play Paragade though.
