That sucks for the employees that were looking forward to it, but it's not really surprising. The demo would be available on torrent sites before lunch tomorrow if Bioware let it loose to the Gamestop folks. Tough break for them, and I really do sympathize because I would be pissed If I were them, but it makes sense from Bioware's side of things.

This was rather unexpected. Though I don't care much since I'm from the UK. However I do wish Bioware wouldn't just cancel it the DAY before the supposed release and offer zero explanation to it.

Wouldn't have to be this way if you had to sign in with your bioware account with the registered promotion, noone is going to bother crack a demo that will have official release in 12 days.

I still have hopes for tomorrow, if it's truely cancel I'll be seriously pissed off.

Congratulations, you're probably part of the reason it was pulled.

It was for Gamestop employees only.  The fact that gamestop employees were going around giving them out to random strangers and their friends is probably why it's not happening.

One of my friends also works at gamestop and I was willing to sell a foot for the code.

Just release it for the PC now and the consoles later. I don't think anyone will be deeply offended, it just takes longer to get the console demos through certification.

They officially delayed it 'till the 22nd.

I am willing to bet that they simply changed the URL and updated the people who are supposed to have the demo through that gateway the new address.

Ah, it used to be a simple 404 error.  Seems it is a delay.  Not surprising given the public leak.

This. I'm more amused by the delay than annoyed. I don't really find it surprising at all.

I'm a big girl. I can wait the extra almost two weeks. Got work and a term paper to keep me busy in the mean time anyway, so it's probably for the best this demo's coming later. I won't be as distracted.
