What does it matter?

...you're being serious?

Look, I really don't care what people did to try and get a Gamestop code.  If I had a buddy at Gamestop I woulda been hitting them up for one myself and I definitely would have tried to play it.

But I wouldn't lie to myself about the fact I was being deliberately dishonest in circumventing the agreement.  Let's get real, here.  And because of that, I wouldn't really feel I'd have a right to be upset if my attempt at dishonestly playing a demo to which I had never been intended to play had been prevented.  That'd be a pretty unreasonable entitlement to expect.

Look I'm slightly upset about it, it's not like it's going to ruin my day or anything. And I most certainly don't feel entitled to it at all.

Ughh doesn't matter, just need to find something else to keep me busy until official release of DA2.

Wow.. What a tease Bioware. Not cool.. Not cool.

Are you a Gamestop employee?

If not, then you're basically mad at Bioware for flirting with someone else and then not sleeping with you

All right.

And how many of you people complaining are actually GameStop employees? Or feeling negative because of sympathy towards them?

Disappointed, as a GameStop employee I was looking forward to this, but now I don't feel as guilty knowing I'd be playing it before everyone else. This gives me time to replay Origins though, =D

But they need it earlier than the rest of the world so they can recommend it to the rest of the world.

I'm pretty sure that the only lost sales will be from angry, bitter, childish Gamestop employees who don't get DA2 eleven days early.

So, a lot, then. :wizard:

I dont think they are THAT persuasive of sales people.  People will buy what they want to buy.

Yeah... I don't think I've ever seen a Gamestop employee sell a game (as in, convince someone they should get something). Usually they just ring up whatever is brought to them by the next person in the 10-deep line. Sometimes they make a comment on the game as they are cashing them out... if they're not busy talking on the phone.

Oh, fine, sabotage my efforts to save our leaked 11 day early demo, I hope you're all happy. :P

I still have hopes for tomorrow, if it's truely cancel I'll be seriously pissed off.

Kinda sucks, but pretty easy to understand. It was really easy to find a code if you didn't work at gamestop. It would have essentially been a release of the full demo early.

I do wish they would get the new Journeys game up so we could start going for the bonus items. Last time it really helped build anticipation for me. Looking at all that shiny loot I had before the game came out really made it hard to wait.

When I say slightly upset and seriously pissed off it means the same, I steam off in a couple of hours usually.

In fact I'm not really bothered now, just needed to come to terms that I wasn't going to play this weekend.

No biggie.

Don't hold your breath, we won't have the items before Christmas 2012 unless they fix their money leeching methods that they use in the Beta right now/

Can't blame them at this point I think more fans had DAII demo codes than employees. That being said I'd still check the demo website, with the way things have been going lately the might accidentally put the demo up for all to see on the 11th!

I really don't get how some of you can just instantly defend Bioware. They break the news to us today, the day right before the demo release. Its like if you were an orphan and the family was scheduled to adopts you on February 5th. But they wait till the 4th to tell you its a no-go.

Thats just not cool.. At all.

I'm not sure if people are actually enjoying that someone else isn't gonna play it tomorrow? Isn't that pretty selfish?

And again don't pretend I AM selfish, compared to most of you guys just ****ting on people really anticipating this, I actually proved I support this community more than most of you would.

I am only riding on the irony that the loudest complainers are the ones whom the demo was not meant for at this date.

Well. It's not like we can be angry. I mean the whole majority of people did plan to get it tomorrow, with those codes. I did get disappointed though.... That I won't be able to play it tomorrow...

Oh you misunderstand.  I'm not "defending Bioware" I'm "attacking" posts like these.  For being unreasonably entitled nonsense.

I imagine others feel similarly.

No, it's not like adopting an orphan.

It's a demo of a game. Being put out for free to promote the game release. One that you will still get.

It's nothing serious. No one is telling you that you cannot have a child. They are telling you that you have to wait another 11 days before you get to play the free demo of their game.

Be less dramatic.

My issue with this is not that it's getting pulled but that the exclusive demo existed in the first place. Because really, the security issue is something anyone should have been able to see coming a mile away, during the planning stages. Announcing it and then pulling it just gives the impression that they don't have their act together.

Do you know how you ruin a perfectly nice gesture, such as giving away things for free?

Making sure to rub everyone's nose in it, letting them all know that you gave something away for free.
