I already provided two links where they have bashed BioWare or claimed they were some how better than BioWare before.

As far as I can tell, you've only proved that you can swear a lot, insult people and show that GZ made some facepalm-worthy commentary. The actual BW devs certainly haven't, to my knowledge, said anything even remotely jerk-like about their competition.

You don't seem to be very interested in posting in a reasoned manner to support anything that that Witcher dev said (assume he's a dev since I'm not familiar with them). I'd be interested in seeing if you can support their claim that their fantasy setting is somehow less generic than any other fantasy setting.

They've got to sell their game, so saying it's better than DA2 is understandable. The Witcher 2's graphics do look good, but like someone said earlier, if I wanted pretty graphics I'd go play Crysis.I'm also confident that Bioware are big enough to take the comment in their stride and ignore it.

Graphics are better on the technical part in TW2. DA:O graphics were dated and DA2 does not get any significant improvements.



The style is very different as well. DA2 has a pretty cartoony look with JRPG influences (gay emo elf) whereas TW2 has a very mature atmosphere + graphics. While Bioware with DA2 wants to broaden their audience while alienating others, TW2 keeps true to the fans of the first parts.



So yes, he is completely right. Bioware has last gen graphics, TW2 has state of the art graphics. It's not about which is the better game. It's about better graphics. And TW2 does have better graphics...end of the story.

I never found The Witcher that appealing. And honestly, anyone who holds graphics in high regard over gameplay and story can rot in a pit for all I care.

Well Dragon Age didn't have any kind of morality meter like the Mass Effect games, you could be rightout evil, the type that gets things done, or be the goody-two shoes, the only reactions you got were from your companions, who were either nice or meanies!



The graphics are better in TW2 imo, but I dont care that much, I still look forward to DA2 alot more than TW2.

Oh my, just read both links and I can' help laughing. I mean I thought Witcher 1 was a decent game and Witcher 2 has stunning graphics and all but I think Bioware games have their own merit as well. I use to respect CDProjekt till they started saying stuff like this.

This is going to be bold, right, but I think Mass Effect was and Dragon Age was for sure, because we made some things that weren't really that popular in RPGs at the time.

Seriously? I highly, highly, doubt that Bioware took inspiration from The Witcher at all, I'm pretty sure they were very deep into development before the Witcher even came out. This is blantantly CDProjekt tooting their own horn. If anything, they took hints on how NOT to do characters and dialogue.

Also in the choice-and-consequence department. Dragon Age really was influenced by us and that's great, because it's a genre that doesn't have that many games and it's not like that serious a competition

 Seriously? Actually? Bioware games have been doing the choice-consequence mechanism before CDProjekt was ever making games, what are they on about? Do they seriously think that the Witcher 1 was some sort of revolutionary game that changed the RPG landscape forever? I'm not a Bioware sympathizer nor a CDProjekt one, but this is ridiculious. Not to mention the other comments as well.

I just think you're all overreacting. Developers do this all the time. Especially when it comes to their competition. BioWare even took a shot at the JRPG industry.

He's right. The Witcher 2 has much better graphics. People comparing them on a story level? You Bioware fanboys keep telling everyone to not judge DA2 until they at least play the demo. Maybe you should practice what you preach? 

And, DA:O was pretty black and white. It's already been spelled out here (kill the boy, kill his mom, or, wait while I go clear a tower and come back to save the day). What was black and white about siding with either genocidal humans, or women and children murdering elven/dwarven rebels, or try to stay out of it and letting the world consume itself? Seriously, play the game, or at least do a modicum of research before spewing ignorant filth about something you know nothing about.

If he would have left it at 'The Witcher has better graphics' I'd agree, but otherwise he's full of sh-t.

I played both The Witcher and and DA:O and I didn't find the setting of the Witcher to be any less generic or the choices any less black & white.

2. Secondly, DA2 is much better on the story.
