Anyone ever try a full archery build?

The most frustrating thing about this last playthrough was my own mages nuking the hell out of me when I called them out during the archdemon fight with fireballs. I got so mad that I reloaded and called out my dalish peeps and they took care of it.
But honestly, I never even felt like I was in serious danger of dying on nightmare. Having Shale as a good tank helped tremendously, but two-shotting everything wasn't too shabby either. :-) Once I got the awareness talent in DAA, I was critting for close to 1k and killing orange level mobs in a few shots.
Up to this point, DW warrior was my favorite, but after playing as full archery rogue, I may have to change that opinion. By the way, I should also mention that I had like 80+ dexterity. Not sure if that had anything to do with the ease of play, but every time I levelled up, I put all my points in archery.

Tried dex based, cun based and a mix of the 2. Never done it with shale and rock mastery though. I do fine without it and I enjoy it a lot. They do suck the first few levels though, but you can overcome that with good tactics, positioning etc.

Would the dex glich happen to be the same glich as the crossbow dex bug? I have a weird desire to make a crossbow rogue with heavy amour. Just for S&Gs.

As you have tried all three which do you find to be the best/most powerful/fun to play?
Depnds on your party setup tbh and when I did my dex playthrough before it was fixed so I don't know how powerful that would be. But I would think you would get a lot of damage of it, but a cunning build would probably do more damage if you have lethality. Your defense with a cunning build is far worse though obviously, but as an archer you really should stay away from enemies anyway so a tank with taunt can always save your along with your own dirty fighting.

Of course thats if you dont like doing 100 damage a second or less with a 100% crit rate.

The archer is the deadliest character in the game if built right. The above guide is what I used to create mine and it works perfectly. The archer is arguably the best DPS build in Origins, and without question blows everything out of the water in Awakening and the stand alone DLCs due to accuracy.
Its deadly, particularly in the guide abouve with 4 Ranged characters at 100% crit rate. In origens though its still weak unless you build it extremly well. In Awakening archery is much better. The thing though is that in Origens and Awakening the deadliest build is a duel wield warrior. But a Warrior archer in Awakening can deal over 10k damage with Arrow of Slaying.

I tired a archer-only based champion with a dalish but I find it frustratingand I ended up doing duel wield and eventually deteleted the champion because of I screwed up too much
Warrior Archer is a God in Awakening. Spirit Warrior, all damage bypasses armor and becomes spirit.
