I really don't understand why they seem to be playing up fur on every outfit, like Anders' robes or Hawke's trademark armor when the fur in DA2 looks rather terrible.

...I like it. :bandit:

Now that I rewatched it a few times it actually looks like Anders is...blind. That's the way I saw it. Like he wasn't looking directly at Hawke and co. And the spaced out hands. Could it be? :crying:

Its like the eyes just sort of zone out and aren't focused on whoever the character is supposed to be addressing. But if you watch other videos, its the same with almost every DA2 character in dialogue. Like that one older video with Isabela propositioning Hawke and he just stares blankly ahead.

Lol, the NPCS look SO out of place with the old DA:O graphics :P

Its rather distracting how certain things look so bland and like they were lifted straight out of Origins while other stuff seems so much more detailed and unique.

The graphics are really underwhelming... I really like Anders' outfit though.

See, i think that, too but I also think the graphics are set to low. Other videos I have watched don't have that low res texture issue.

The voice actor is great and the cinematics are awesome, but the facial animations have me a teensy bit concerned. He looks a bit too blank when he's being supposed to be defensive towards Hawke and the crew.

Guys.

Anders is posessed. His mind and body have been taken over by a spirit. How exactly do you expect him to act? Haven't you ever seen a film where someone gets posessed? I mean, come on.

if it weren't for the fact that Justice moved around just fine before...I'd agree.

ALso for those who will bring up "OMG HE'S A DEMON OF TEH VENGEANCE NAO!!" Anders is still the one in control according to the blurb on his char page.

So my question still stands...could something have happened to Anders' sight?

My life would be complete if Anders did the Exorcist head-spin/projectile-vomiting whenever an injustice was committed.

never mind hes definately not blind. a few seconds in (while hes still healing) theres a good close up of his eyes and they're normal looking. most blind people have strange looking eyes (ex: the templar in the aleinage)

The graphics are most certainly set to low in that video. DA2 will look much, much better than DA:O in the final version.

Ah, that's what was jilting me. The random NPCs are Origins and Anders is updated.

I can't hear the "good old" Anders at all in that voice...

Eh, it was one line and he sounds pretty angry and tired.

That's what I took away from it. Like he has a lot going on and is really tired. I like how he was coming at me like a hurricane of chin stubble and angst. I got a tingle!

Hmm...really? I never noticed that with anyone else. Just Anders in this vid. Now it's possible i missed it...but that doesn't seem very likely.

Can you link me to that vid please? I wanna see this for myself.

I definitely could make out Greg Ellis's voice, I think it's just Justice possessing anders at that point, ominous voice was ominous.

Yeah, it was a "serious" Greg Ellis to me too... voice of Vengeance in Anders form I think.

Does Bioware do proper mo-cap or do they model it themselves? He's mannerisms seemed. . .off.

It's really easy to avoid spoilers. Just don't go on the forums, watch videos, read previews, etc...

Did any one else notice toward the end. That Hawke seems to almost be walking with a strut. (I'm a bad mofo) Except it looked like he was looking toward the ground. As opposed to his head being Held High.

He seemed to be studying the place.

If I'm not mistaken, Bioware has rarely used mocap. I think the Asari dancers in Afterlife were the only animations in ME2 that weren't made from scratch.

Anders is definitely
still recognizable as snarky ol' Anders on most subjects. He/Justice
just have one enormous blind spot. And the bigger that issue gets in the
world, the harder it is for Anders to focus on anything else...

I think its this dev diary at about the 2 minute mark. Its not as bad as I remember I guess, but I still think something is "off" with most of these DA2 faces- its like they're all Botoxed up or something. I can't put my finger on it, but they just don't seem right.

Well, that explains some things.

Wish they'd mo-cap when people are having conversations.  It would stop repeats on the same mannerisms, like that hand chop thing from Origins people did when they were mad.
