Because the IGN (and other gaming sites) are inconsistent with the quality of video they publish.....sometimes it looks super (as intended) and other times it looks like 3rd generation VHS quality.....and in this case the latter applies.

To be fair, I think some of why it looks like ... well, like **** is because of the use of origins models here :S That child model was crap in DA:O, why bring it back? The newer models are going to make the older ones look really, really terrible ...

They stick out like a sore thumb in that video.

Maybe BW wanted to reduce their carbon footprint and recycle a little from Origins? Who knows? Maybe this is footage from an old build/version?

I agree that those kids do look a little creepy, but most pixelized in-game children do......at least they don't look as bad as the ones in WoW and Fable 1

Looks... bad. But that was my reaction to Sebastian's reveal video, too. I'm hoping it's an early version. And that neither sounds like Greg Ellis nor Adam Leadbeater to me. Weird.

I dunno, I have my fears. Male Hawke is, in my opinion, definitely rocking a tramp beard. Maybe it's their new thing. Laidlaw himself has grown a beard. Maybe they will beardify (be-beard, enbeard?) Alistair too.

Don't worry about Pounce, pretty sure that kid in the IGN video had just passed out from the cat-pee-soaked-coat odour.

Black? I don't think it's the graphics settings you should be concerned about, but your eyesight. Those eyes were very obviously brown.

It is not an oversight to have two companions with ponytails.

The fact that this discussion is even taking place is beyond absurd.

We're talking about having the exact same hairstyle. That is a pretty large oversight, considering companion inventory has been scrapped for unique looks.

yes The dwarf and the Human mage do not look diffrent from one another due to their similar hairstyle.

Don't mind Height,Width, Glowy eyes vs non glowy eyes, the giant cross bow vs the staff. They look exactly alike

Huh. At least for those on lower ranked rigs they can at least see eyecolor now.
