Hi guys,

I was fortunate to get a very early hands-on with DA2, and without spoiling anything, let me just say you have a lot to be excited about. I'll offer you all a few observations I made:

1) I nearly had an angry fit when the only char options were default male or female, warrior, rogue or mage. Thankfully, character customizing happens, but after the tutorial level is played (phew!). Posted Image

2) It's true that you can't choose your race, you can only be human -which no matter what the reason - I think is a huge mistake. The best thing DA1 did was offer different intro stories for different races. Even if you never played all the intros, just knowing they're out there waiting enhances the quality of the game. 3) Graphics are definitely smoother & sharper, facial close-ups feature intricate details like fine hairs and skin pores. Posted Image

4) Movement is less “robotic”, definitely feels more realistic. Posted Image

5) Combat has changed a little. Instead of pressing A once to enter attack mode, you press A for each standard strike, then a different button for each special ability (like before). I don’t know if that’s a good or bad thing yet. It feels cool at first, though I wonder if it'll take away too much from the turn-based RPG element down the track? Posted Image

That's all I'll say for now. Despite the fact you can't choose your race (silly, silly, silly...) I think you're all in for a treat!

If you have nothing to contribute to a thread, or if you believe a thread is not worth posting to, don't spam it instead. It will only get you in trouble for spamming. thank you.

Well, this has been fun, hasn't it folks?

We learned, we laughed, we loved. I think we all discovered a lot about the world around us, and in the end, discovered a little something about ourselves.

But all good things, as they say, and so we must draw the curtain on yet another day.

From all of us here at BioWare, this is John Epler telling you - have your pets spayed or neutered. Thank you, and good night.
