It's also possible that the OP got one of the Gamestop demos that leaked out before the whole thing got shut down.
Nothing was leaked. The only file available when the page was up was a dummy .zip.

Reaver is a specialization unless they are done differently to Origins, I would assume they are an unlock.JJDrakken wrote...

Very well, here we go:
SPOLIER ALERT - SPOILER ALERT - SPOILER ALERT
Just went back on and took a few notes for you. I'm only mentioning certain things, because I refuse to mention anything that'll ruin the surprise for you all, so here goes:
1) Firstly, there are six Warrior sub-classes called "abilities" in the game (I chose warrior class, and had 6 ability options, but my NPC sidekicks only had 5 abilities, not sure if that's because your character gets 6, or just that warriors get 6). Each of these abilities have a skill tree attached to them. Three of the warrior class abilities are: "Waepon & Shield", "Two-Handed" & "Vanguard". The other three begin with "D", "W" and "B".
2) The Mage class had 5 abilities. Two of these abilities are: "Elemental" and "Spirit". The other three begin with "A", "E" and "C".
3) I am sorry but I don't know anything about the Rogue class yet.
4) Your "resistances" (like fire, cold, electric, nature, fortitude etc) now have their own screen, so you can easily view where your defenses are weak.
5) The first three people you add to your party are named: "Bethany", "Carver" & "Aveline". Who they are, what they do, and their contributions to the game I will not reveal.
6) How NPC's see you are marked clearly on a bar marked "Rival" on the left, and "Friend" on the right.
7) Your "Inventory" and your "Character Info" are now on separate screens and are no longer merged. (ie, pressing RT in your inventory screen only scrolls through your equipment tabs. Character info is on a different page.)
8) Enemies are less inclined to just appear in front of you. So, if you charge at someone with your melee weapon, your Mage may be in danger from a surprise flank.
9) My final spoiler is this: You will encounter a familiar face in the early part of the game, and it is not who you'd expect!!!![]()
This is all I'm saying. Make of it what you will - but feel free to collaborate and get back to me when your copies arrive.

The only thing you've said that's new information is 'attributes go up by three.' Everything else is old information.
Moreover, you obviously have no idea what is general knowledge or not, as you don't know Bethany's name or that the older woman is the PC and Bethany's mother.

I'm really glad you posted, thanks! For one thing, (3) is pretty much the opposite from what I'm seeing in trailers, and therefore encouraging, and (5) is new to me. Gotta say, I think that's a bad thing. I hate the click-click-click playstyle of that kind of attack. For one thing, it makes my hand hurt in a marathon play session. And it just seems like pointless busy work. I'd rather be worrying about the tactics and moving from character to character.lastridge wrote...
5) Combat has changed a little. Instead of pressing A once to enter attack mode, you press A for each standard strike, then a different button for each special ability (like before). I don’t know if that’s a good or bad thing yet. It feels cool at first, though I wonder if it'll take away too much from the turn-based RPG element down the track?
That's all I'll say for now. Despite the fact you can't choose your race (silly, silly, silly...) I think you're all in for a treat!

OK, this tells me you're making it up, beserker is a specialization and you can't choose it until you're level 7, not to mention that if you have access to specializations already then that would make it nine different trees and not 6, every other bit of info can be easily gathered (actually, you get quite a lot of stuff wrong) with the exception of the stat thing, which I haven't heard before. Sorry for being distrustful but I find it hard to believe you have an actual demo, much less for the XBox 360 version.lastridge wrote...
Well, after starting a new game I could choose a male or female warrior, mage or rogue. All six were pre-desinged on a black screen, lined up in a row. when you choose one, they'd step forward, swing their weapon, and you'd clik "accept". I started the game running away from darkspawn - killing as I went - and a giant horned demon came out. I was on some kind of mountain top cliff-edge. I was with some chick who looked like the dark-haired babe from Mass Effect 2, and someone's older mother (mine or hers), and we bumped into another group of four who were trying to escape darkspawn. (Sorry if it's vague but I was also played the DA1 expansions all last night too, and I'm a bit muddled).
After you play the tutorial part you lose the temporary skills you have, and get to start your char from scratch. You customise detailed facial features as expected, and for the "pre-story" (from origins) you can do four things: 1, select the the default story (essentially a human saved Fereldin), or two alternate pre-stories (an elf saved fereldin/a dwarf saved fereldin), or you can load your previous character's decisions and outcomes.
Skill trees are on the right hand side of the screen. As a warrior, I chose Beserker, but there were five other skill trees I could choose from. They operate from left to right, and (I may be wrong) but it seemed like I wasn't restricted to the one class type (like I could mix and match).
Oh and stats (STR, DEX etc) still go up in 3's when you go up a level. I can tell you more but I'd have to turnit on again and take notes.
Ooh! Ooh! I know! It's Enchantment!MJF JD wrote...
