Okay, okay... It seems I'm a little behind on what's known and what's not known on this info-hungry board.

I thought I was being naughty revealing some key info to you guys, but I didn't think so much gossip had escaped already. Hopefully something I said amongst my three detailed posts came as news to you!

I don't want to go into plot direction or dialogue, but if there's any spoiler about the game that may be considered "a spoiler" I'm willing to give it one more crack, if you ask nicely. Image IPB

If we ask nicely? I think there's a total of two people who believe you.

We probably know it, but why don't you *please* throw it at us anyway.

ok, what's the mission you play AFTER the intro section.  Is it in Kirkwall?  In the Deeproads?  What level is your Hawke during that mission?  Do you get to play as a higher level Hawke and can you choose more talents/spells?

You literally are offering us information that we all know. Why not give us a detailed run-down of the skill tree talents? Some sort of information that's too unlikely for us to know? How did you manage to get the 360 version of the demo?

Besides that, I happen to know the demo goes past the prologue. Why don't you know that? And, tell us, what's the mission afterwards? Again, this information means nothing unless you answer damn quick. Well, it means nothing period since we all know it.

I think just telling us how you obtained it would allay most doubts. Since you’re obviously playing the demo on an Xbox 360 (how come I always want to use ‘an’ when saying xbox?) So yeah. Where’d you get the demo? Please.

Okay, will the skill tree talents be useful? Which class?

All of them. I already know the names of a few, but it'd be interesting to see if you can name them all.

And, again, why aren't you answering my other questions?

WAIT!! I just realized something!!

How can the OP play the demo? Didn't they say that there would be NO CHARACTER CREATION in the demo?  You can only play as default Hawke, right?

yet, the OP says that character customization happens after the intro battle..........

hmmmm............

is the OP playing the actual game and not the demo??

The demo also includes another level after the beginning part in Lothering, but he's not mentioning that, either.

1) Firstly, there are six Warrior sub-classes called "abilities" in the game (I chose warrior class, and had 6 ability options, but my NPC sidekicks only had 5 abilities, not sure if that's because your character gets 6, or just that warriors get 6). Each of these abilities have a skill tree attached to them. Three of the warrior class abilities are: "Waepon & Shield", "Two-Handed" & "Vanguard". The other three begin with "D", "W" and "B".

Those couldn't possibly be Defender, Warmonger, and Battlemaster, could they?

2) The Mage class had 5 abilities. Two of these abilities are: "Elemental" and "Spirit". The other three begin with "A", "E" and "C".

Surely not Entropy, Creation, and Arcane!

3) I am sorry but I don't know anything about the Rogue class yet.

Convenient, because neither do we. Do we? I might have missed that class.

4) Your "resistances" (like fire, cold, electric, nature, fortitude etc) now have their own screen, so you can easily view where your defenses are weak.

Why, how could you have learned that?

Image IPB

5) The first three people you add to your party are named:  "Bethany", "Carver" & "Aveline". Who they are, what they do, and their contributions to the game I will not reveal.

Bethany and Carver are your siblings. They are twins. Your mother is named Leandra. Your father was an apostate mage who is dead, and trained your sister (and possibly you) as mages. Your mother is of the Amell clan (related to the Mage Origin Warden), who are nobility in Kirkwall, which is why you're going there.

One of them dies, depending on your class. Carver dies is you are not a mage. Aveline is a templar's wife. This templar dies at the end of the tutorial from the taint. His name was Wesley. Aveline is a weapon and shield spec, Carver is a two-hander and Bethany is a mage.

6) How NPC's see you are marked clearly on a bar marked "Rival" on the left, and "Friend" on the right.

My god, man, it's like you're psychic!

Image IPB

7) Your "Inventory" and your "Character Info" are now on separate screens and are no longer merged. (ie, pressing RT in your inventory screen only scrolls through your equipment tabs. Character info is on a different page.)

Image IPB
Image IPB

How can I contain all of this new information? Why didn't I notice the LT RT triggers on the screen before?

8) Enemies are less inclined to just appear in front of you. So, if you charge at someone with your melee weapon, your Mage may be in danger from a surprise flank.

You watched the gameplay videos, too? And read the interviews?

9) My final spoiler is this:  You will encounter a familiar face in the early part of the game, and it is not who you'd expect!!! Image IPB

Image IPB

That wouldn't be Oghren, now would it?

Oh, wait. It's Flemeth.

Seriously. I literally have every piece of information you offered. You don't explain how you managed to get the XBox 360 demo of all demos--at least the PC demo is believable--and refuse to give us "spoilers".

Destroyed.

My guess is that he is loving the attention of everyone asking him. Which is why he put up the “ask nicely” stuff, so people will pander to him. The fact that not only myself, but a lot of other have asked him where he got the demo and he refuses to even acknowledge it tells me all I need to know really. He doesn’t have the demo, and he will no longer have my attention.

and that's what I've been asking about.  We all know about the intro Lothering stuff.  But describing the level/mission afterwards would go a long way to show that he indeed does have the demo..........

Dragon.

Flames.

Eats a darkspawn, drops him from high above

Dragon is Flemeth.

Flemeth wants to join you.

5) Combat has changed a little. Instead of pressing A once to enter attack mode, you press A for each standard strike, then a different button for each special ability (like before). I don’t know if that’s a good or bad thing yet. It feels cool at first, though I wonder if it'll take away too much from the turn-based

This sounds like a massive draw back for me. I detest constant button smashing and if this is anything like the Witcher combat it will be tough for me to get through. Perhaps I'm misunderstanding how it works but if I have to hit A for each attack I'll be sorely disappointed.

yes, but is there a playable mission afterwards?  Do you play as a higher level Hawke with access to more talents/spells?

Yeah, we see all of that happen in videos.

Flemeth wants to join you.

PFFFFFFFFFT that's not what happens. She gives you an amulet and wants you to take it to Keeper Marethari, on Sundermount outside of Kirkwall. You need it to preform a mystery ritual. This is where you meet Merrill.

And, like I said, the demo has a mission after Lothering. You don't seem to know what it is. So, unless the devs were lying to us--you are.
