Hmm, I have tried inventing a drink in honor of Varric. The Biographer or The Stone Heartbreaker, as you wish to call it 
. Give it a test if you have these on hand and let me know what you think!
1part honey bourbon/whiskey
1part Goldschlager (try to get a gold fleck in!)
1part Sherry (or Brandy)*
A splash of Passion Fruit flavored liquor or juice
Pour all into a shot glass (or double-shot if you want more). Better to sip than to down this, in my humble opinion, preferably while listening to a tale of high adventure.
I used Seagrams 7 Dark Honey, Goldschlager, Amontillado, and Alize's Gold Passion. It adds just the right amount of sweet and manly, spice and heat, a smooth classic aging, and a hint of passion. The color is a rich, brown-gold, much like his powerful chest-hair. Ooo la la.
*Reason for Sherry or Brandy is the wine connection, with brandy being distilled wine and sherry being fortified. Sadly both come from white wines and I do see Varric being a red-wine man, but Porto wouldn't have allowed that nice golden hue.
Maybe I'll think of something for the Stone Temptress while I'm at it... But if this is good make sure to have a few on March 8th for sure (tomorrow as well, but to a more reserved degree), next to some Joining shots.
