Living on Omega? If getting mugged every morning is your thing than knock yourself out, lol.
Illium is just as bad... as alot of people in ME2 have said, it's "Omega with expensive shoes". So if someone hacks your bank account, smashes you car, or blackmails you, you're on your own... unless murder is involved, than the enforcers won't step in.
Aite is also a bad place, seeing that there is no law, and is dominated by warring dictatoral nations. The planet is going to be ruined by it's moon anyway...

No place is safe in the ME universe, lol.

Ilos. That place is amazing. May have to renovate the freaky statues though. Don't tell Liara. She will freak if she hears I'm 'vandalising' Prothean statues...

It would depend I guess on my disposible income. If I was loaded....then I'd live on Illium or Bekenstein. I like being solitary but have access to malls and resterants. I'd vacay on Aite or a non nuked part of Vermire.

Edit: If I wasnt loaded then I'd probably be an Alliance Tech Specialist or Career Officer and spend most of my time on ships and have an appartment on the Citadel.

Illium.

In my favourite read of all time from back when I was 16, John Wyndham's The Chrysalids, the Canadian narrator dreams of a city which I'd swear Illium is based on. (That city is New Zealand a 150 years from now when the rest of the world has torn itself apart through nuclear war.)

Ah.. and there's plenty of Asari there too :D

Actually most of those places seemed kind of sfe to me.  Omega, as long as you pay your protection moeny your local gang keeps things safe in your neighborhood.  Illium, the cops investigaed all crimes, contracts were just very binding.  Hell New York 20+years ago was probably more dangerous.  You are used to it when it is your own crime, but there are very few places on earth that are actually safe.  I currently live in a safe area of the US and we still had a Burglary right down the street from me this week.

Aite from Overlord. Place is just breathtaking.

This. 2nd and 3rd choices would be the world that Jacob's loyalty mission take place on, or Illium if we're talking stations.

I'd consider the Presidium, to be honest.

Ain't (pun intended) Aite's moons crashing into it? Don't know about you but doesn't really sound like a good place to live on to me. I'd live on Earth, specifically 10th Street lol

Ilium, The Citadel or Bekenstein. Ilium because purple's pretty cool bro. The Citadel because it's space station. Bekenstein because I've always wanted to live on a Jewish planet.

Yeah, Aite is safe for humans until about 100 years-generally into the 200 year span before the planet goes BOOM.

Its NOT safe for krogans or asari though. At least if they plan to spend a huge chunk of their lives there.

Obviously not Omega, that should be a given. Maybe if IRL I was some big tough guy, but I'm a relatively mild-mannered wimp, so... no. (although I do have some proficiency with guns. Maybe that'd be enough to keep me alive... nah.)

No to Illium as well. Sure, it looks all shiny and pretty in the daytime, but I have no doubt whatsoever that if you aren't A) an asari or B) rich, life would suck there. It's just a little bit too rich. Places like that inevitably have a seedy underbelly of underpaid foreign workers. *cough*Dubai*cough*

Earth is probably totally polluted and doesn't have any forests left, so I don't want to live there. For that matter, our solar system is pretty boring, so just no to the Local Cluster.

The Citadel would be kind of interesting. The Presidium I definitely couldn't afford to live on (if there's housing there at all) but the Wards, if you found a nice neighborhood, could be interesting. Obviously I wouldn't live in an area around Chora's Den, but I'm sure there's some nice, quiet middle-class neighborhoods somewhere that wouldn't look at a human funny.

If I had the choice to go anywhere, though, I would live... on a colony. I'm not too picky about which one, so long as it's reasonably well-established (so you don't have to fight for your survival or something), is similar enough to Earth that there's no need to wear special gear or take medications, and has TREES. It must have trees. As well as houses among those trees. Even better, houses IN the trees! But some nice forest planet with a small collection of colonists I could live among within a reasonable distance of a larger settlement and spaceport where we could get supplies/news, that I would love.

Mindoir has forests, doesn't it? Or is that just fanon? I'm sure it's had enough time to rebuild to a reasonable size since the Batarian attack, that was like fifteen years ago. Maybe I'd go there.

If people are not happy where they are, then why stay there. Been stuck in situation or place, is everyones own choise. I would live exactly where I'm now in earth in Mass Effect world.
