Do you think Kai Leng should be in ME 3? Why or why not? I think he should. :)

Depending on the choices you made at the end of ME 2 (Keep/Kill C-Base) He should show up in ME 3 as either a powerful ally, or a daunting adversary. Who agrees? It would make up for what ME 2 lacked, a "Saren" if you will, for Paragon characters, and probably a replacement for Kaidan, and possible LI for female characters.

I do want, personally, I always liked his sadistic, alien-hating attitude, suits well with anti-hero characters, and he would definitely prove to be a worthy foe for my Paragon Shepard.

I think he's a book/comic character. Don't intend to read them so anything outside of the games characters I'm not really interested in.

I haven't read either novel yet but from what I hear, he's definitely worth putting in ME3. He would make a worthy enemy or a valuable ally. I still want him dead for killing Aria's daughter though.

He was in Retribution. Seriously what is the point of playing the game if you won't read the books?

Is that a serious question? If we want a nice game on Dawn of War do we have to read every 40k book out there?...

It's a game, first and foremost. Generally video game books are disappointing, so I avoid them.

If you want to pitch this, tell us about the character and why he'd be good or relevant in the game.

Agreed. The name has been thrown about quite a bit lately, but for those of us who dont feel the fanboi urge to rush out and buy everything ME related, who the hell is he?

I'm not intending to insult your choice of reading matrial here. But in my experience the majority of spin off books/comics are about as worthy as toilet paper.

I play the games because they are enjoyable. I don't intend to feed the cash cow just because.

I never really saw him as an anti-hero. Always struck me as a villian. The guy is sociopathic murderer - he'd use a child as a shield if he had to..

If he's going to be in it, I hope he's in it as a villain. He needs a serious smackdown, Shepard-style.

The books aren't spinoffs, they actually are written by the lead writer of the game.

First one is about captain Anderson as a young soldier, second about a biotic girl, whom is being rescued by the female lead of the first book, and third is about old Anderson, (after ME2), trying to take down Cerberus.

If you enjoyed the writing of the games, you'll love the books.

Instead of Kai Leng, which would add nothing to the "reaper" side of the story, it would be better to get Kahlee Sanders (main character of second book), as she is an excellent replacement for Mordin, she is after all the greatest AI specialist alive.

And add Aria into the fray while your at it, she could fbomb the turian councilor.

I think he should be in me3, the book set it up perfectly (especially the ending statement from TIM). Although i do not agree with anything that he believes in, and i plan on confronting him with my paragon Shepard if the option is available.

Edit: It would be amazing if Sanders was in the next game, i was disappointed that she wasn't in the second although i could see why that was the case.

He already did, the bastard. Not literally held the the young boy up as a shield, but still. Used him as a distraction and to take fire for him.

Yes, I'd like to see Kai Leng in ME3, and put some hot metal in his head. I think even my human-supremacist Renegade Shep would be disgusted by Mr. Leng.

If that means putting a couple Widow rounds in his head, then sure, why not.

They are good books.  With or without the game.  They aren't War and Peace, but I wouldn't call them worthless.   You don't need them to play the game and  you don't really need to play the game to enjoy them.  It does add to the whole mass effect universe and if you like the codex stuff they might be of interest you.

Really?

Any given Renegade, and more than a few Paragons, have engaged in far more destructive, more brutal, more callous, and/or more harmful acts than anything Kai Leng is shown or implied to have done.

Read the books and would love to see Kai Leng in ME3. He's so badass. If he isnt in ME3 he should for sure be in the movie.

Libraries are still great places to go. Sometimes they even have books you don't want to buy but are just intrigued enough to want to check out.

That said, I'm not usually a fan of books written for a VG title. I've found that they are quite often not as good as something written by the author independent of another's creation. Especially in the case of a video game where my perception of the work is shaped by how I played the game. It took the first 2 books for me to get past those differences but retribution was really quite good. Of course the whole time I'm reading it I was thinking, Shepard would have gotten TIM and Killed Kai Leng.

For those who don't know, Kai Leng is a former N-7 commando whose anti-alien attitudes get him locked up after a bar fight. TIM freed him so he could become TIMs best wet work man. Bastard is flat out evil, the worst elements of human extremism. I really want a DLC that lets me turn him over to Aria to punish for Liselle's death, I'd bring popcorn. Either that or turn Jack loose with Samara on him.

My Renegades wouldn't have bothered searching the kitchen for a knife so I could got back and cut her throat when she was already unconcious and no threat to my mission. Sorry, that was the definition of vile. My renegades are all about getting the job done regardless of the cost but that wasn't part of the job. That was killing for his personal jollies and his need to validate his own hatred. He is exactly the people that Miranda means when she comments of "too many join us for..." during one of the conversations. I think he would probably kill Kelli for being too loving.

Indeed. I am hoping he's in the game as an assassin should you choose to ****** off the Illusive Man at the end of ME2.

Hell yeah I want Kai Leng on my team.

Two N7 marines would be unstoppable.

A lot of people don't like Kai Leng because he's not a Paragon and has a renegade alignment
