Any given Renegade, and more than a few Paragons, have engaged in far more destructive, more brutal, more callous, and/or more harmful acts than anything Kai Leng is shown or implied to have done.

My Renegades wouldn't have bothered searching the kitchen for a knife so I could got back and cut her throat when she was already unconcious and no threat to my mission. Sorry, that was the definition of vile. My renegades are all about getting the job done regardless of the cost but that wasn't part of the job. That was killing for his personal jollies and his need to validate his own hatred. He is exactly the people that Miranda means when she comments of "too many join us for..." during one of the conversations. I think he would probably kill Kelli for being too loving.

Kai Leng didn't have a lethal weapon and the kill was quick and painless.

Kai Leng wouldn't kill Kelly.she's human. and works for Cerberus

he would be an awsome addition to ME, I own all the books and will be reading the 4th in sept. the day its released. i would also love to see Kahlee Sanders, and Gillian Greyson in ME3. the books truly expand on the ME universe and i think every fan of the games story will love the books.

Kai Leng is a tactician.  Just because you wouldn't do some things he's done doesn't make him wrong or too extreme.

Killing her with the knife was to coverup their involvement. He didn't kill her painfully, nor did he kill her for being an alien, nor did he kill for revenge for the loss of his squad mate.

He killed her because she was a witness, and a witness at that point compromised the mission.

Kai Leng was so badly overpowered that it made him annoying. Seriously, he was the only character in both ME books that annoyed the hell out of me. It's not that I don't like him because he's a "renegade". It's just that he was obviously suposed to be a badass and ended up being close to immortal god of destruction.

That part where he escaped the Ascension Project swinging like a god damn monkey... what was that? I mean... imagine that.

How was he overpowered? He was better than Anderson, appropriate for a special-forces named character compared to all the non-special forces, and wasn't ever close to as good as the Reaper Avatar.

To whoever asked... he's an ex-N7 Marine turned Cerberus Assassin. He should definitely have a cameo role at the very least. Being Paragon Shep's "Gary Oak" in ME3 would be the icing on the cake.

He had no motivation, and it takes away precious time needed to escape, that's hardly professional or businees first.

Aria's daughter is a witness, Assasins don't leave witnesses behind.

It only took him a couple seconds to find the knife.  His motivation was not leave a witness behind and plus he could've wanted revenge on the Asari for killing his squadmate (possibly a friend)

You seem to forget that Kai Leng's team was busy doing other things before they escape.  The medic was trying to patch up a team member and other members were trying to cover up evidence and recover the red sand..

Aria actually works with this anti-alien organization.

Balak and the Batarian Hegemony are extremists.
Kai Leng doesn't go out of his way to kill aliens for the lulz, he only kills aliens if it affects his mission, if Grayson's lover was human he would still kill her
