!@#$, why did this **** up... lol... went smooth last time... oh well, will just have to refine the hints towards the actual question. And btw both of you guys misunderstood the contest, you did not look through the last thread, and didn't follow the instructions properly in the first post.

Nice attitude.

Next time post clear instructions as to what you are asking for in your first post. No, pointing someone to another thread (Which I read) is not the same thing as taking a moment to write clearly and use comman sense.

Also: don't post that people can guess early.

Neither of those worked out very well for you, did they?

I was trying to guess to be a part of the contest. Why are you so angry?

Read the first post, pretty much nullifies this. Said you're free to guess after the question specific hint goes up.

Also the reason I'm upset is because I prepared this stuff yesterday, which is pretty much useless now.

Oh well, will have to figure things out as we go along.

What? Freedom Fighters? What's that?

Seriously, if you hadn't said anything I wouldn't have even noticed.

The first post is poorly written and unclear.

The results you got speak for themselves.

Minor hints are out of equation,

I'll be putting up the question specific hints at 5PM CET/GMT +1 which is 4 hours from now.

Are all the codes going out for this one set of hints? Or will there be like 2 given out for this set, then another for the other 3, Or something similar?

Sorry this turned out bad, right now I'm contemplating if it may be a good idea to postpone this for tomorrow to write a new set of hints and provide fool proof instructions so we don't have this mess again.

UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The contest turned out to be a mess to fast too soon. I deeply apologize to people that expected the results today, but I've decided to postpone it tomorrow and use the rest of the day to write a new set of hints and foolproof instructions so no mistakes hopefully can be made again.

Hope you guys understand.

Regards.

That's too bad man because tomorrow I won't be at home all day :(
I guess I'll have to do without the DS2 armor, thanks for doing this anyway.

I'm fiddling around with the idea of creating a group for this. This way during the discussion if someone ****s up I can delete their posts.

How about trying a series unrelated to Hitman as well? It's not in the contest's interest for me to see patterns in franchises.

How about using twitter for this?

By using twitter people who follow you will only see what you say, not what people say to you. That way if someone takes a wild stab or says something stupid it won't be seen by everyone else and the competition can run smoothly. Also it is less of a pain to use twitter over the forum since you don't have to constant refresh the page.

That does prevent a bit of transparency (e.g. there could be complaints about the fairness etc.), and the 163 (iirc?) character limit may be a problem.

I'm keeping this open for suggestions how to go along with this, right now I'm not sure how I can avoid it for tomorrow.

I'm from Denmark, I want to remind people of awesome PC games developed by Danish crew? Is that such a sin? :P

I've seen quite a few quizzes etc run through twitter and I think they've all gone well. I do understand the transperancy argument though. I'd be willing to put my faith in FuriousJoe with this since he seems to be a fair guy. As for the character limit, I don't think it will be a problem given that the hints seem to be quite short and answers will probably only end up being one or two words. But then again, if Joe has different plans for this then that could well change.

Fair enough. I'd have no problem seeing this run on twitter, in fact.

Haha, not at all. It's always good to be proud of good achievements. Now that the secret is out though you might need to find a non-Danish franchise. Or not, you could throw everyone a curveball and stick with Danish. Who knows? Haha.

Quite a few Arsenal (English Football/Soccer) players have done giveaways of shirts/tickets etc based on quizzes. The issue for twitter I guess would be keeping the hints organised since they will get strewn throughout your feed if you are following quite a few people. It would have to be a more compact format when compared to the longer spread that Joe has tried the last two times.

I say just post it here to be fair to everyone. I don't nor will I get a twitter. The group idea might work? But if someone f's up then we just ignore them. If the last round worked fine it should again. I just think instructions should go here as well instead of saying "go read all this here" you know?
