I need some expert help with some creatures in Jabberwocky that are not working as they should. I'm using NESS to spawn them in encounter groups and things on that end are working well, but when the creatures die, they do not leave a lootable corpse as they should, they leave the loot bag VFX, but no loot bag. This VFX doesn't decay either.
I have the creature blueprints setup to have lootable bodies that decay after 3 min. I also have the spawn WP set with the lootable body flag, so I'm not sure what is going on.
I need help from someone who has experience with the system to give me an idea how to fix this.
Issue with NESS: Creature lootable bodies aren't working correctly.

Ok, first off, What version of NESS are you using?
Have you successfully used lootable corpses in NWN2 using NESS before?

Well no...I'm using the most current version of NESS I guess. Whatever it is on the vault.
I'm not sure how I'm supposed to be setting this up, if I need to do something different than the regular way of getting a lootable corpse.
Currently the creatures are set as such:
Lootable Corpse = True
Decays = True
Decay Time = 5000
I have the spawn flags in NESS set as such: SP_SN02M01_RW_SR05M01_SD03M01_PC01R_CD120T3_DS0_RS80
This is an example of a creature spawn. Anyone see anything that could be telling NESS to not leave the corpse?

You just need to set lootable corpse to FALSE in their properties.
Thought there might also be a more current version out? I can't remember what the latest one was?
But definitely set Lootable Corpse to FALSE in the creatures properties.

Well it seems like NESS is overriding the custom treasure scripts I have setup. Is there a way to stop NESS from fooling around with the corpses? All I want is to have NESS spawn them, not handle the loot generation.

Yes there should be a flag that disables the ness loot intervention. If you use the ness spawnwaypoint generator it should be under the loot properties.

I don't see that option anywhere in the SWG tool. There is an option for generating random gold and to use a custom loot table.
Any clues?

The flag LT_ has to do with loot tables. I myself have never used it but it might be what you need to look at?
also do you have the .pdf file that explains alot of this stuff?
It has been a long time since I have downloaded anything for NESS, so I don't know if it is all still available or not?

Yes but the problem is that I'm not using a custom loot table. I'm using a custom treasure system that NESS would not understand. It grabs loot out of chests in a treasure area. Sort of a visual plug and play treasure system. I just need to know if I can tell NESS to leave the creatures loot alone.

I thought that might be the case.
Unfortunately I won't be any help with that then. You may need to dig into things to see if you can do that. Loudent2 would really be the guy to help you there, he knows the system extremely well.

Well, NESS is configurable. You can use the loot flag and just give it an identifier greater than 1 and less than 500 then go into the spawn_cfg_loot script and call your custom loot system there. But give me a bit and I'll see if I can give you a setup for "leave this corpse alone".
EDIT: actually what I did for my player world for special mobs was to do no loot on the boday and had it decay immedietely then I spawned a chest in the mob's location with the specail loot (which, like you, I pulled from chests)
EDIT2: it would help if you describe how your spawn system works. does it put loot on the mobs while they're alive? after death? The solutions might be different depending on what exactly you're doing

Update to this: It turns out that NESS was not the issue. Phantasma made some adjustments to the custom system and things are working as they should with NESS. The custom system works with physical chests in a treasure room that I stock with treasure I want randomly chosen. I can have the stuff choose from one or multiple chests and leave random gold as well. It works with placeable containers as well as creatures.
