that guy annoys me. I find it difficult to be mean to him, but I also hate being nice and encouraging him to keep annoying me, so I'm wondeinrg how would it affect the imported into ME2 character if I just avoid him all together?
does he still show up in ME2, or does he end up killing himself? has anyone tried doing that before?

but what if I don't talk to him at all? like completely ignore him?
then he's gone for good.

I at first had a terrified sneaking suspicion that if you died in the suicide mission you'd have to play as Conrad Verner in ME3. There really could be no greater punishment for dieing than that lol.
LMAO!!
edit to add on topic answer -> he can show up, but he's glitched and acts like you took the Renegade route no matter how you actually behaved.

He does mention that he has a wife. I'm curious as to how their relationship is like. Conrad seems like someone who would have pictures of Shepard all over his house, with a shrine dedicated to him.

It's not like you're forced to recruit him for picking the paragon responses. You just tell him to go home without hurting his feelings. Sticking a gun in his face as a renegade Shepard is satisfying though.

She paid for his ticket in full to get him offworld... It sounded to me like she had the right idea.

Yes, I imagine that she got him offworld, changed her name/appearance and moved somewhere far away.

him having a wife always makes me wonder...I wonder if his "wife" was actually his mother? wouldn't put it past him to exaggerate to make himself look more worldly.

... or he trips and falls into a nuclear reactor again, that wouldn't be surprising either.

I actually want him to do something epic and heroic in ME3. Like somehow, mainly by chance of being in the right place at the right time, doing something that ends up saving a colony, but not without some kind of sacrifice. I want him to find out what it actually means to be the hero he keeps dreaming of being.nevar00 wrote...
I have to say... I love Conrad. I think the guy is hilarious. I can't wait to see what they have in store for him in ME3... I'm guessing he sacrifices himself for Shephard in some big noble death scene.
Then, when Shepard congratulates him, he actually grows up a bit, and realizing the horrors a hero must face, says something like "This isn't... I never imagined it would be like this, Shepard. How do you do it? How do you deal with the loss? How do you handle the fear?"
To which Shepard can reply, "I'm always afraid, Conrad. I've been trained to push it aside and get the job done, but it's always there. As for the losses? It's something I have to live with every day of my life."
"I understand how stupid it was for me to try to be you, Shepard. I understand why you kept sending me home to my wife. I truly respect you, Commander Shepard, but I don't want to be you any more. I... I just want to go home."
"You did well, Conrad, and I'm proud of you. Your wife is a very lucky woman."
"Aye aye, Commander." Conrad stands at attention and snaps off a crisp salute, and then walks to his wife standing nearby. He gives one last look at Shepard and then they walk away, arm in arm.
Or something along those lines. I want him to get his moment in the spot light, and I want to see him grow up and gain some wisdom.
As annoying as he is, I just can't hate the guy.
edit: And, of course, for those who no longer have a living Conrad Verner in their play through, it can either be Shepard who saves that particular colony or some random colonist who does it, and those folks simply miss out on this cut-scene (and have it replaced with something fitting their situation).

Maybe the next time you see him he has a bunch of misfit Turian, Quarian, Asari, human, Krogan, and a cool toaster that accidentally achieved artificial intelligence and they've formed their own squad.

Or you see him wandering the slummy wards of the Citadel in a wheelchair after being crippled by some gangsters he tried to tangle with.
In other words, something that would actually happen in real life if some tool just got it into his head to try be a hero/badass without actually having any training or being a natural born killer.
