I am a HUGE (cannot emphasize that enough!) fan of more practical clothing for mages and I think the pants look awesome. I really don't like the "traditional look" for Hawke; it makes more sense for a Circle mage in the tower, but when you're out in dungeons and fighting it makes no sense to me.

Unless the statistical differences are that big, I can't really see myself putting those types of outfits on (the traditional looking ones). The Tevinter Robes, however, I do like.

I've never been a fan of the traditional robes. They just don't seem practical at all. They look cumbersome and heavy around the skirts, and not to mention are very unflattering.

Kind of eclectic yet practical, but always stylish, of course I'd wear the old lady robe when up to the most mischief of course, no-one would suspect me as the cause then. *grin*

 I was going to throw my old lady robe in the bin .... but now you have given me an  idea !

I always play with the toys I am given      Probably a good thing they didn`t give us lacey knickers/bloomers.  Imagine the trouble we could get in, starting a cancan line at the tavern !! 

Seriously though, if the game ends up mod-able, I may teach myself how to do robes.  Couldn't be my flouncy strappy skirt of course but would be nice to play!  If they allow that this time around.  I have my fingers crossed for eventually.

 Magic users who play with the elements should not have highly flammable gowns.  And you are right, not entirely flattering.
