I have cleared everything on Citadel, I have talked to the guys outside of the
normandy, got on board & said speach to crew, now when I go to the Galaxy Map &
click enter it goes to a Black screen with a Blue box at top Left with the name of that
system in it & you hear the music playing. Everything else is blank.
Is there a patch or is there something i did wrong????
I have also changed my GFX settings IN GAME, to lower so the processing is not so heavy???

Please Help!!! I have already played ME2 & wanted to get cought up by playing ME1,
but I'm STUCK from almost the begaining.:(:(:(:(

Not much we can do for you until you post your specs as per this thread.

I'll dump my "corrupted install" form-response here, it may prove helpful:

Recurring errors in the same spot often indicate a corrupt installation, especially when the game is otherwise working fine. This can mean a hassle if you have to re-install. The good news is, if the problem does lie with (a) corrupted file(s), nothing is going wrong with your system.

If you got the game through a Direct Download service (e.g. Steam) you may be able to have the download client check your installation and make sure all the files are intact. If you have the game on disc, or if your Direct Download service doesn't support verification for Mass Effect, you'll have to re-install.

If re-installing Mass Effect 1, I'm uncertain if it will keep your save games. I recommend backing up your Bioware\\Mass Effect\\Save directory, which you can find under My Documents in Windows XP. (Try looking under C:\\User\\ for Vista/7?) If re-installing Mass Effect 2, make sure to tell the game to keep your settings & saves when you uninstall.

To try verifying your files on Steam: In Steam, right-click on the game and select "Properties." Select the "Local Files" tab and click the button that says "Verify integrity of game cache..."

If that doesn't work, we will indeed need specs per the "How to Report a Problem" thread.
