I think people are just hearing "posh English accent" and the only posh English accent from a major woman in DAO was Anora's.
indeed, and that is exactly why they'd want to avoid that VA for the player character in DA2.

It's a lovely voice though, feminine. I like how playful and cute she sounds in the friendly and humour options. I think I'll be picking a few aggressive ones on the demo to see how different she sounds there.

I'll be interested to see how she sounds for the "renegade" lines.

She sounded almost like Corinne Kempe but without the French overtones. I have heard that voice before with that accent. This will be nagging at me for a while, I think.
You might be thinking of Kaitlyn (that woman in Redcliffe with the missing brother). She always sounded like Leliana without the French accent. In fact, when Leliana dropped a line into the conversation it felt a little odd, as if she was talking to herself.
Mark Meer and Jennifer Hale do that all the time.

This is Goldanna's voice when she's not sounding bitter, and more naturally sweet.
Compare to Lady Hawke's voice.
I'm not so good with accents, so.
More Goldanna.

Kaitlyn was voiced by Fay Masterson. I can't find that she did anything in Mass Effect.

She might be Belinda Cornish.
From those videos, I'd say no. LadyHawke's voice is more... cute. Goldanna has a deeper voice, while Hawke's is higher, and less throaty.

I don't know. Lady Hawke sounds warm and cute. Goldanna just sounds phlegmy.Saibh wrote...

Don't listen to literal sound of her voice. Listen to the inflections, the intonation, the vowels.
Anyhow, I don't have money on it, but voice actors alter their voices all the time to sound more like a character. Goldanna is an older, angry woman, and so even her "I'm not a raging ****oholic" voice should reflect that.

Can you find Bella the barmaid's VA listed? I can't find her on imdb. Here's a video of her. Maybe her?namedforthemoon wrote...
I have the Mass Effect manual opened up to the credits page and I'm searching each one of the female actresses. It's driving me crazy.
Edit: I read that too quickly. I thought you had the DA manual open.

Her voice is very posh (you can tell she's not a peasant, lol). On hearing her, she ought to be given her noble house immediately!

Well it actually fits with Male Hawkes, and Carvers "posh" voice. After all they were raised by their noble mother.
