Hmmm, what about Hellena Taylor (sometimes goes as Helena Schmied) she voiced Bayonneta, amongst smaller parts in Origins but can't really find much else about her...this is driving me nuts

She's not listed in the cast for ME.

Does anyone know if Stephanie Wulfe is from the UK? She voiced Sophia Dryden in DA and did 'additional voices' in ME2. (I've never heard her properly before because I haven't played Warden's Keep, and the only videos on youtube feature her shouting battle cries so it's hard to tell what she sounds like)

I'm going with Belinda Cornish based on her Purple Gas 2000 trailer.

^ Stephanie Wolfe is Canadian.

It's possible that the dev who gave the hint about the VA being in both DA:O and Mass Effect was mistaken. Now I'm thinking that it could be Fay Masterson, who voiced Kaitlyn, and is listed as being in TOR, but not either of the ME games.

You might be right.

The only two female English VAs in Mass Effect are Belinda Cornish and Carolyn Seymour. It’s obviously not Seymour and it sounds too soft to be Cornish.

I'd rather hear more of her voice before I pronounce myself

I found a vid of her on youtube as Sophia Dryden, she sounds really husky unless they distorted her voice - search 'sophia dryden wardens keep' you should find the right vid :)

I was hoping for something a bit more domineering... she sounds a little too sweet.

Yeah. I was kind of expecting a lower voice, more confident voice. Like Fem Shep, but obviously different.

Very snooty. Most certainly befitting of a mage.

Agreed. While I would have certainly loved a more raspier voice, I could equally deal with a clear, higher pitched tone so long as she could pull off an alpha-female impression -- a la Ser Cauthrien's VA {0:36-1:01}. FemHawke's voice is great for a mage, but in my opnion, falling a bit short for a warrior. I hope she'll be able to speak with more certanity (not just snooty) later on. I'd like to feel that my Hawke is capable as an assertive leader.

Anyway, aside from the RP element, the actress' voice is very nice.

The first thing her voice made me think of was one of the DAO voice sets
available for the elves. (think it's the one named "sultry" but not
sure)  It may be different person since the accents are obviously
different, but the timbre feels very similar.

... which is bit of
a problem since i've got used to associate this voice with my CE, so
hearing that come out from someone else (especially another
protagonist) is weird like heck ../../../images/forum/emoticons/wondering.png

Yeah, I also imagined my city elf to have the same voice. [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/smile.png[/smilie] My CE rogue was a slightly awkward and inexperienced person, but smart-mouthed, so this voice would have completely suited her.

I like what little we've heard. She definitely seems to be playing a person more than the Male Hawke who seems to be saying "I AM HERO! LOOK AT ME CHESTPOUND!" with every sentence.

Does no one know who the voice for Female Hawke actually is? Or is it STILL speculation? You'd think bioware would just tell us now that we've heard her...

Ahh interesting. I glanced through her record on wikipedia but didn't spot that one so thought the similarity was just a coincidence. The plot thickens.

Eh.. It's purdy and all, but a bit too feminine in my opinion... It'd be alright for a princess or something, but not my badass Hawke.*shrug* Oh well. It'll have to do.

Well, I temporarily broke my Media Blackout to have a listen to the clips on Youtube, and I have to say I am impressed. She doesn't sound quite how I expected (I think I expected her voice to be deeper), but it is very nice. And I know this is off-topic, but I frickin love her cocky half-smile at 0:16 of the Youtube clips.

I will let others figure out who her voice is, though, but I have heard it and that is enough for me! :D

Now I will return to my Media Blackout. :bandit:

I really like her voice...it has this deceptively sassy quality with a tough edge. As if to say, I''m tougher than I sound. Very feminine sounding and I can't wait to play as FemHawke!

I love her voice. I thought FemHawke's voice was a bit restrictive in terms of the type of character you could create, this is perfect. It has personality but you can take it in different ways
