(I did a couple of searches before making this thread, but couldnt find any exsisting ones.)
Hello all ME fans B).  So I read the Mass effect universe timeline for the second time here the other day, on the Mass effect wiki site. And whilst reading, I took notice of all the Birth years that were present in it. And so for fun, I made a list of the characters with their age attached. However I didnt find the birthyear of all the characters, And would appreciate your help to complete the list, and also to come with corrections, should there be something wrong with it.

MAJOR SPOILER WARNING::alien: This list contains various characters in the Mass Effect universe, as well as a couple from the books. It also contains The Illusive mans actual name, and a few plot point/details from the games. As well as a couple of details from the first issue and the preview of the second evolution comic, so if you dont want to know any of this, stay clear.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The ages in this list uses the year of 2185 and the 31 of Dec. to calculate the various ages. 2185 is the year in which the events of Mass effect 2 takes place. I will list the characters after age, in descending order.

Anyway. heres the incomplete list:
Urdnot Wrex: 1405-1505 (Urdnot Wrex, was probably born either right before, or during the Krogan
rebellions, which lasted a hundred years. We can be fairly certain of
this, because he argued with his father shortly after they ended. Wrex became a battlemaster while "young" in Krogan terms. Problem is, we dont know what young means in krogan terms. I estimate it is somewhere in the region of 20-120.

Samara: 850-999
(According to the ME2 site, she is about 600 years old. However she claims to be nearly 1000 years old in the game. And her oldest daughter beeing 470 suggests that Samara is atleast 820. This because  Asari usually dont have children untill they hit the Matron stage at 350. Add to this, that she says, she was well into the Matron stage when she got her children).

Morinth: 470
(the timeline mentions the year in which she flees. And According to Samara, Morinth was 40 years old at the time).

Aria T`Loak: 500-1000+
years old, (she has an adult daughter, and since most Asari dont get children untill 350, 500 years old is a ok minimum guess. She probably is a lot closer to 1000 though, if not older).

Liara T`Soni: 108/109
years old (according to the LOSB she becomes 109 in 2185, whilst the birthyear in the wiki suggests 108).

Dr. Chakwas: 59-65
( I estimate she is 61, if you want to know the details read on) One has to reckon she is good into her 20s when finishing med. school, (in my example 27). I reckon that she joined the alliance a few years after it was formed (formed in 2149), and a few years before the occupation of Shanxi (2157).  We know she was part of the alliance during that event. In my example she joins the alliance in 2153 at 29 yrs old. Which puts her age at 61.

Jack Harper, aka: The illusive man: 58-64
(All I can draw upon is his looks in the comic Evolution and in ME2. In the first part of the comic he is on Shanxi during the Turian invasion (2157). And he looks like eveything between 20 and 36 on various pictures there. So its hard to judge. But 30 is an OK bet, which would put him at 58 during ME2.)

Mordin Solus: 32-40 or 50 (ME2 site says 50. However he confirms that fact, that Salarians dont age much past 40. And says in the game, that he has entered his last decade).

Zaeed Massani: 55-60
(He and Vido founded the Blue Suns in 2160, before that it is said he was part of the alliance. It should be mentioned that the ME2 home page Zaeed profile sets his age at 40. However that would mean that he founded the Blue Suns at the age of 15, not likely)
Vido Santiago: 50-60 (founded the Blue Suns together with Zaeed, but looks a bit younger)

David Anderson: 48/50 (timeline says 48, ME2 site says 50)
Kahlee Sanders: 46

Saren Arterius: 44 (would have been 46 if still alive)

Kai Leng: 37-45
(Kai Leng was working with Cerberus for a decade. This was after they got
him out of prison - he had a 20-year sentence, but didn't say how long he was there. Before that, he was a Lieutenant with N7 training. In my estimate he was 25 when sent to prison, and was broken out of jail between 2-10 years of imprisonment. Most of this is copy/paste from Kim Shepards post below)

Thane Krios: 39
Miranda Lawson: 35
Kaidan Alenko: 35
Commander Shepard: 31
Jeff "Joker" Moreau: 30
Jacob Taylor: 28

Ashley Williams: 27/28 (if still alive. ME2 site says 28, timeline says 27)
Garrus Vakarian: 25-31 (according to a developer, Garrus hadnt reached the age of 30 during ME1).
Kasumi Goto: 25
Tali`Zorah Vas Normandy nar Rayya: 24
Jack, aka: Subject Zero or Jacqueline: 24

Kolyat Krios: 20
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Characters I dont know the age of (or exact age) and whom Id like to know about are:
Ambassador Udina
Aria T`Loak
Dr. Chakwas
Feron
Urdnot Grunt: (Dont know the amount of months he is)
Kelly Chambers
Urdnot Wrex
Paul Grayson (character from the second and third book)
Kai Leng (Character from the third book)
Desolas (Sarens brother, present in the evolution comic)

Hope you enjoyed the overview, and hopefully it may be fleshed out a bit more ;).
Please feel free to add other ME characters, either from the games, or the books/comics.

Here is the link to the timeline: http://masseffect.wi...m/wiki/Timeline

Thanks goes out to the following users for their contributions/corrections input on the list.
Kim Shepard, JaerWolfe, cegr25, Hyper Cutter, and Zulu_DFA.

EDIT: This main post has been edited, and will continue to be updated as relevant new information ticks in.

I imagine the ones you don't have simply haven't been given ages (or rather, they haven't been revealed).

I think this counts as the right forum though, so I wouldn't worry about that.

Kaidan Alenko, the good kid that he is, is 32 in ME1 and either 34 or 35 in ME2.

I guess we'll never know how old Garrus is.

I think "around 1000" is better for describing Samara's age, since it's vague, and we just don't know for certain. The official website says 600, Samara says "nearly 1000," and the flavor text for her class ability states that evolving it hones her biotic abilities to make her as powerful as a Matriarch, implying that she's not of Matriarch age, yet. Though, combat mechanics are indicative of nothing, lore-wise.

Thanks for the replies, I have edited the main post with your numbers. Samara being 600 sounds weird to me, but if the website says so, then so be it :P. As for Garrus, I think he is younger than Saren. If I were to guess Id say he is 38 or something. But thats just guessing though.

Garrus was described by one of the writers as being under 30 in ME1, so the oldest he could be in ME2 is 31, unless someone messed up the timeline.

I'd like to know how old Saren's brother is too, but he's definitely older than Saren, who was 18 at the time of the First Contact War. Desolas was a General. I'm guessing he's a young General, about ten years older. At 18, Saren already had guards and was acting like he's in charge. Being awesome probably runs in the family.

According to Retribution, Kai Leng was working with Cerberus for a decade. This was after they got him out of prison - he had a 20-year sentence, but didn't say how long he was there. Before that, he was a Lieutenant with N7 training. He's probably in his late 30's, at least.

Mordin Solus is 50. I believe it was mentioned at some point in the game. He's an unusual case in terms of Salarian age.

As for Samara, I'd expect her to be between 800-1000 instead. The rest sound fairly accurate though.

iirc, Wrex was already an adult during the Krogan Rebellions, so that puts him well past 1000 at least.

Good lord it's like a fantasy game with the ages. Or Dragonball Z
I thought 1000 years was the limit for both Asari & Krogan

Thanks all for your contributions, I have updated the list again.

Confused_Shepard: Yeah when a race can get that old, it gets kind of weird. However, most Krogan probably get themselves killed in a fight, long before they reach anywhere near 1000.

Isn't Aria at least 1000? I'm sure it's mentioned somewhere.

1000 is the average for asari and krogan.  It's what 70 is to modern (us, not ME-setting humans) humans.

How did you figure out that Jack, aka: Subject Zero or Jacqueline is 24, maybe I missed something in her dossier, wasn't she abducted 20 years ago, aren't we still missing the knowledge of her age at the time. Her being 4 when abducted seems old, but maybe I'm wrong.

Her birth year is right here In the Mass effect timeline: http://masseffect.wi...m/wiki/Timeline

About halfway down, is the following: 2161 CE

bla bla bla.....for beneficial applications.
Tali'Zorah nar Rayya is born.

Jack is born.

Quote end. 85-61 = 24 And theres your answer ;).

Mordins age is listed with 50 on the ME2 homepage but this seems not to be his real age.

Someone said the ages of the aliens on the ME2 page stand for the age they would have if they were humans. As Salarians can only become around 40, Mordin should be between 30 and 40, but not 50.

Actually, I believe it was stated in Retribution that Aria is close to or over 1000 years old. She's old enough to have at least one adult daughter.

Perhaps, but he might really be 50. Just because Salarians usually die at age 40 doesn't mean they all do.

For a real world example, take the longevity rates for the U.S:

The average male lives to be about 75. That doesn't mean that all males die at that age; some die before, some die after. Same thing with Aliens like Mordin. He's probably one of the rare ones that live an unusually long life by his species standards.

If it turns out so that Aria is Alenna, the asari Wrex fought once, then the age difference shouldn't be too big, since Aria have ruled Omega for some centuries.

Jack Harper aka The Illusive Man:

General Williams shares a drink with him, something he wouldn't do with a green civvy boy of 20. So TIM must have been no less than 30 in 2157. 55-60 in 2185.

Mordin Solus:

Salarians "don't live much past 40" says mordin and doesn't say he is an exception. He says he is in his "last decade" though, so 35-40.

Zaeed Massani:

You don't start a merc company at 20. Plus Zaeed is said to have served in the Alliance before going "independent contractor". So he was about 30, maybe older in 2160. So he is about 55-60 in 2185.

Vido Santiago:

Vido seems to be younger than Zaeed, so had to be  about 25 in 2160.

Miranda Lawson:

Around 25 in 2185, because she could not have been genecally engineered before the Humans got at least some basic understanding of biotics, which wasn't until the late 2150s (for instance, BAaT started in 2160).

Samara:

I am sure she says she was well into her matron stage when she had hew daughters, so that'd put her around 400 at that time. ~400+440(Morinth's age)=~840.

Kai Leng:

35-40. He was a lieutenant (~25) with the Alliance Marines' special forces, when they court-martialed him. He served some time of his sentence (but not much - or his skills would have faded), before TIM bailed out and recruited him, and has been with Cerberus for a decade.

It says in the mass effect wiki timeline Miranda was born 4 years before Shepard (if I remember correctly), were they got that information though?

From the same place that says Zaeed is 40, Mordin is 50 and Grunt is 22.

The website is inaccurate. It's a promotional material, so unless you take it with a fair grain of salt, you can't be seriously looking for hard answers.

BTW, there is even an inaccuracy in the description of the Vanguard class powers.

I wonder, has the person who is responsible for that page visited the page for the StarCraft 2 characters on the Battle.net. I guess no, because the comparison is not in favor of ME2's page.
