@HolyAvenger Unfortunately you can't change the armor of party members. Its similar to the change from Mass Effect to Mass Effect 2. You can attach runes and stuff like that but they're stuck like that until years pass and they change their looks on their own. I think you can only change Hawke's armor.

Oh I know, I just found it annoying that one of your tanks walked around in plate-mail and the other in a shirt and pants. WTF?!

I suspect the armor itches the protective lyrium wards burned into his skin.

I think he was referring to Carver.

Carver's a Hawke. 'Nuff said.

The city of Kirkwall looks alright, but it's a bit plain and lifeless as expected. One can not make a great game this fast without cutting down on something. However, I'm suprised no one mentions the scripting of the bar fight. It might be the most realistic movie like sequence I've seen in a video game.

Also, I dislike the voice of fem Hawke; she sounds 40+ years old.

Is it me, or did the guy heckling Isabela and Hayder have the exact same VA?

The same VA for two characters in the same questline? Wow, Bioware...

By that logic FemHawke should be out patrolling the streets in nothing but her underwear. I don't think people of Kirkwall would mind.

Yes, indeed. I'd be remiss if I didn't admit that the scene in the tavern removed all doubts of Isabela's return.

Thanks for the demo and chat preview I was watching it (nothing good on tv anyway^^)

my two favourite news from the demo and chat was the change of fatigue, I have played through DA:O 5-6 times and I still really don't understand how armor interacts with fatigue...

the other thing I really liked was the look of the stone armor, I hope that the other buffs have some nice new graphics aswell

All of the purely mechanical changes to the game (movement, animations, combat and the UI for example) I really really like. Especially the UI, reminds me a lot of Bizarre's Blur UI.

I would really like to see more of the non-mechanical aspects; lore, enemies, environments. So far they have revealed a small amount of that kind of stuff, and naturally to avoid spoilers they should. But I think a decent overview of some of the links to DA1 and the intermediary time period might be nice.

I'm totally sold on the game, and a straight live streamed run through is, I believe, one of the best ways to market a game. They did a similar thing with Civ V, and before that with Red Faction.

I think fans just want to see the game played. Not vertically sliced into an edited trailer or teaser. It really assuaged a lot of my niggling fears, mainly over how the combat would work and the new class relationship. I hope BioWare learns from the marketing for Dragon Age 2. I think it has been haphazard.

I just want to say thank you for the video and for adding the "helm toggle"

I was just for old time sake, looking at the old forums, and came around to the few topics on the helm toggle argument. I wonder if Chris still belives this...

"I hope this never happens. If you want the protection of a helmet, you have to WEAR the helmet. If you prefer the hair, that's fine, but you do it at the sacrifice of the protection offered by the helmet. That is the point of choice.

What is next? Bows that look like swords because it looks cooler carrying a sword but you want to still shoot arrows? Plate mail that looks like leather armor? Dwarves that look like humans?

Choices have to matter."

I'm just surprised. I've never noticed this in a Bioware game before and surely expect better.

Metting 2 guys with the same voice in the same 10 minutes for the same quest is poor for Bioware. Very poor.

But seeing as DA2's production is rather rushed and inferior compared to Bioware's AAA efforts like Mass Effect 2, I'm hardly surprised.

I actually agree with this sentiment.
