Um... we now know the two female romance options, thanks to a leak about Aveline and Merrill being confirmed as a companion, but we still have no word on which of our male companions we can... pursue....

I submit that we should know, in the interests of parity. I'm full of logic here. Truly.

It'll probably be Fenris and the newly revealed companion, which means there will be much ANGST. Since I doubt they'll make Varric romanacable.

Now, revealing who the romance options are is not strictly necessary. I'm sure everyone would accept hearing who of the non-DLC (sorry Sebastian!) characters are not.

What I would like to know is, are there two iterations of each romance: one 'friendship' one 'rivalry'. I am simultatiously thrilled and appalled by this thought.

When you said " thanks to a leak about Aveline", I assume you meant the PC Gamer review.
