I'd just like to point out that in ME1, shep was old enough to be Tali's dad lol. They cought enough publicity with the whole "sex simulator" thing (total bull, still makes me facepalm.) I doubt adding "child pornography" to that would've been a good idea lol. Ash's attitude was way too.... for lack of a better term, conservative to me. (i'm don't mean in a partisan-pollitical sort of way, i don't want to be that guy who started the pollitical cluster-****) her bigotry was a huge turn off, and she had an annoying habbit of questioning my every move
are we really going to let these aliens walk free?
shouldn't we lock liara up?
why do we listen to the council?
why did you let me live?
ew, you're picking liara over me?
*sigh* i loved every time i got to use the "because im the commander, and i said so!" line

Err, minor point.  Shepard was what...29, in ME1?   By the time of ME2, Tali is 24 and he's 31.  7 years difference isn't that big, definitely not enough for him to be her father lol.

But to the topic itself...I think I chose Ashley first  (Really, Tali would have been my first choice, but it couldn't happen in the first game).  Not quite sure why, I just liked her a lot.  Tough soldier who liked poetry...yeah :   )

2nd game...Tali all the way : D

Eh...hmmm I'm not so sure about that...anyways, because Tali is referred to as a "girl" so..........Just on her pilgrimage, leaving home...becoming a woman...so....

Yeah, i already got pwnd for that, I failed lol
Sheps age in 2 is debateable though, As he was dead for the two years, he may be chronologically 31, but due to the obscurity of the Lazarus project, his biological age is anyone's guess

I mean, they sure did play it off like she was a teenager...that's why everything was mad awkward with her. Plus, the whole pilgrimage thing with her...really painted it like she was 18 or something haha! But, nontheless....a romance with the walking codex Tali is weird to me...though, she's like, one of my main friends...along with the entire Mass 1 and 2 crew....Image IPB Oh, the memories!

Kaidan was the only straight option at the time? It seemed like a good idea... then one Horizon later.... I'm not so sure.:?

It could be anything, since we don't know the details of the Lazarus Project.
Maybe it took a heavy toll on him, and now he's biologically 45?
Maybe it made up for lost time, and now he's 31?
Maybe it held him at peak physical condition at 25ish?
The world may never knowImage IPB....

Ashley got on my nerves, and Liara was the adorably awkward type that i could see shep with.

And i like the color blue

+1

Ash just irritated me pretty quickly, and her appearance just didn't appeal to my senses.

My first LI? You know, he wasn't mentioned yet. It was a Sky. I just found out that romantic option exist and protagonist was female, so it was a pure curiosity.

In ME1 it was Liara (by maleShep) because she was naive but intelligent. Ah, and greetings to FoxNews. In that playthrough I've also found out that Kaidan's views on life are very similar to mine, so second playthrough was a femShep romancing him. She also was the first character transferred into ME2.

I chose Liara, quite frankly, because she was the only lesbian option. However, her brilliance and compassion have genuinely grown on me since then.

I chose Liara at first because my first Shepard was basically Kirk as a space marine, so...

I wanted to romance Tali initially, was disappointed when it turned out to not be an option, and eventually did it in ME2. She's a spunky geek girl with a shotgun. What's not to love?

No one in Mass Effect 1 but Jack of all people in ME 2

Tali is cute and everything but Jack's romance has some nice drama going on

With Tali it's "When Harry Met Sally" but with Jack it's... Oscar Bait romantic drama

I never found Liara as a good character in ME1. Me2, she was great in LoTSB.. But ME1, hated her.

Kaidan was a nice guy, but... yeah he's too much of a softie IMO. Great guy, not for me.

Ashley has a fire to her, a bitterly sarcastic attitude, ****y sometimes. So I liked her xD

Miranda was neither an alien nor covered in tattoos / a complete ****, so it was an easy pick. In ME1 I did not have an LI because I didn't like any of the options.

I found Ashley to be an all-round great character. There was nothing in particular that attracted me to her.

The fact that Miranda was a great leader. Women who command respect are incredibly sexy to me. That and she had some great chracter development.

Kaidan - similar to real life
*Looks (no, they aren't the be-all, end-all ..but it's what makes me take notice before I know someone)
*Sarcastic humour
*Concern for Shep
*The convo "slip" on the citadel
*Professionalism
*His personality - after exploring all the convo options I was happy to find his looks were just a delicious cherry on top.
