The third doesn't follow the game tempo at all. The music doesn't switch to a more up-beat tune during combat and doesn't flow with the conversations. Again, I know it's not piece written for those scene, but maybe you should consider that - pick a more appropriate combination of footage/music.
The third, no, just doesn't work emotionally. "The Normandy Reborn" is one the (if not the) best pieces on ME2's soundtrack and it's strange to watch it with a different score.
I would suggest trying to pick some parallels between the footage and the music, the way the scene works in game and a movie Mansell scored. For example, the Lazarus project (at the beginning, not the station assault) combined with the music from the scenes where Sam Bell wakes up after the "incident" with the rover (Moon). Or the Illusive Man/Miranda conversation using the track as the two... protagonists (trying not spoil the movie) plan their return to Earth in moon.
Maybe that'll work better?
By the way, I'm sad Wall and his team are gone, but I trying to stay optimistic. I'm sure Mansell would be more calm and motivated if the forums show some support for him.

Considering the music wasn't made for the game, I think the first video is excellent. The second and third, no, by a long shot.

Sure, I could make a video of the Luna VI mission.

I don't know if this qualifies as action, but it becomes pretty driving at around 1:30. Don't just skip there though, let it build so you can get the proper sense of momentum.

Check this track. I think it's the perfect way to show Mansell's ability to combine emotion with fast paced raw power in one theme.
The epic part starts in around 5:20, for those who want to skip to that..

I heard that one before, it's good but i'm looking for something even more "action-y". Something akin to Overlord or LOTSB's combat music.

Edit: err not Vigil, I forget the name of the tune off hand. That incredibly recognizable motif of descending notes.

I am not sure if the game composers are the same as the trailer ones.marshalleck wrote...
I wonder if the "Vigil" theme in the ME3 trailer is a cut from Mansell? Someone must have asked this before, but I've missed it if so.

A rough cuts experiment I made a little bit ago. Thanks Phaedon for the inspiration to cook these up. Might try for a couple more.

It still doesn't sound scifi-like enough though but that's understandable. Hopefully Clint Mansell considers a scifi-like approach too, even if it's just a slight tone. Would be much appreciated.
Overall I'm curious on Clint's take on Mass Effect.

That direction was mainly abandoned in ME2, though.
Much to my dismay.
